Hoosier Guy Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Thought I’d start this one early. Somehow, IU is this one win away from just two games back of first place. As bad as they’ve played, it’s reality. We need an inspired effort tonight. That’s always the biggest question though. Our Hoosiers need to get the job done. Let’s go mamasa, HoosierAloha, ALASKA HOOSIER and 2 others 5 Quote
Popular Post RatpigHoosier Posted January 18, 2020 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2020 Good morning, Hoosiers! Coming atcha from the Jamfest Super Nationals at the Indy convention center. All this competitive cheer spirit is getting me in the mood for a Sup-sup-super Hoosier win tonight! We got frickin’ spirit, yes we do!!!! LIHoosier Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 The day is starting off swimmingly for the team...plane was grounded due to the weather last night so they're leaving for Lincoln first thing this morning. Quote

I’ve heard of worse fates than “spending one less night in Lincoln, Nebraska”. mamasa, MikeRoberts, Class of '66 Old Fart and 9 others 6 6 Quote
Alford Bailey Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Not that hard to plan around the storm. Maybe the change in routine actually helps. Quote
Iugradman Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Looks like there is already a built-in excuse if they lose tonight. Quote

JaybobHoosier Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Really need to get this W, would really help build some much needed momentum and confidence for this team! We should have beat a very decent Rutgers team where all B1G teams seem to lose, but this team didn’t fold or give up. That is at least a positive for this game. While this team has its issues, they are way better than Nebraska. Just have to find a way to win this game. Also, have to think we can’t shoot any worse than at Rutgers, right......?! bleedhoosier Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Recording this one so I can watch in 16x later instead of missing a good quality family gathering this evening This squad is too soft for me to make questionable decisions about prioritizing IU bball over family lol JaybobHoosier and Ranger78 2 Quote

IU players: hold my beerHaha, we should get some REALLY good looks from outside as I see Nebrasketball putting 5 guys in the lane. They’re DBs are pretty good tacklers too so I don’t see our RBs getting many open lanes without getting laid out. We need to be strong in the trenches too. NOLA Hoosier Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Sure hope we get a good game and not a contest to see who will "out-suck" the other. Quote

RaceToTheTop Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Starters announced yet? Will be interesting to see who starts among RP/Al/Armaan/DeVonte and how guard minutes are handled. DeVonte's minutes have been much more limited in two of the last three games (the exception being Ohio State). I like Green off the bench more because he has seemed more effective there, but am concerned with our start after the last game. Would like to see RP and Armaan starting but offensively that concerns me. JaybobHoosier 1 Quote

The one time he didn't he was hot garbage and still got 4x the minutes he should've. Quote
Bobman1 Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 This whole week most posters were saying they’d be happy going 1-1 with the two road games. Hoosiers are favored by 6.5 so time to get the job done!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners pumpfake and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote

It was pretty obvious in the Northwestern game (and the Rutgers game) that he didn't get much as much as normal -- particularly in the second half. We can argue semantics over whether the leash was too long, but I think you understand that I was simply alluding to asking a question as to how many minutes he would play if he wasn't playing well. RaceToTheTop Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Just hoping for a good called game. If we get that and lose, that's all on the team. Always hate Big Ten road games because of the ridiculous home/away splits in conference. JaybobHoosier 1 Quote
