It isn’t a secret or rocket science. The administration just doesn’t want to prioritize being a blue blood basketball program anymore. If you really believe that there is no amount of money that could convince Mark Few to leave Gonzaga you’re not living in reality. UK refused mediocrity and went out and bought Calipri, UNC refused mediocrity and bought Roy Williams. If IU reallyyy wanted to, they would open the wallet and go get Brad Stevens, Billy Donovan, Mark Few or Tony Bennett. It’s only about the money. That’s it. If you don’t believe that’s the case you aren’t informed. We could be elite tomorrow. Our administration doesn’t see the need to be, even though the money is there. I hear people talking about Archie’s buyout clause being $17M, like that’s a driver. Do you really think that amount of money is even statistically significant to our basketball program??? One or two boosters could cut a check for that tomorrow if it meant Final Fours. Bottom line, our admin stopped caring about being a blue blood basketball school and instead feel like being a top Business program, ballet school and communications school are what’s more important.

Disagree with it only being about money. Coaches aren't robots. Brad Stevens prefers the lifestyle of being an NBA coach and not having to recruit in the offseason. No amount of money is going to change that. Our administration has paid handsomely for basketball coaches over the years. We've just made bad choices based on politics and other external factors that have put us where we are.

Who can we hire that will bring in a monster 2021 class?

When Archie got Schilling, I thought that was evidence we would play the game the way UCLA did with Alford. Then we get Langford and the ball is rolling. Now he’s not here. Why? No one really knows. It was always a mystery. Was it the Brooks recruitment?

Ostrom has been involved in recruiting Monster classes at places. Now he can’t recruit. We settle for middle talent.

Is it administration? Is it Archie? Is it by design?

So many questions. Archie isn’t answering any of them.

My lowest point ever as an Indiana fan. Zero faith in this coach. Zero faith in this administration. Zero faith in the university. This is the closest I’ve been to tuning out IUBB and waiting on the next change to come.

I truly hate this team, and if you know me, I hate to hate. It’s ugly to hate and I dont endorse it.

Raging mad.

Next year will be the same. I can’t even look forward with any hope or enthusiasm.

Have never been so disappointed in IUBB

I’m with ya. I tried to be patient and give Archie the benefit of the doubt and made excuses for him last year and the beginning of this year but I just can’t anymore. This is unwatchable and is not INDIANA basketball in the slightest. This job is just too big for little Archie and he has given us no reason to believe in him anymore. I’m officially off the Give Archie Time train...the train is going nowhere. Unless a miracle happens over these next few weeks, it’s time to pack your bags Arch. I know one thing for sure, I will not be watching anymore Indiana basketball this year. Depressing.

Respectfully, and without outing sources, Stevens is not attached to coaching the Celtics and knows his place historically will still be as a hall of fame college coach in the not too distant future. He has learned to tolerate the NBA, but he’s not an NBA talent personality and doesn’t enjoy dealing with them. I stand by my statement based on conversations, that if the administration wanted to, they could open the wallet and get the right guy. They know who “those guys” are, and the number it would take to get one of them tomorrow. They have chosen not to take that route because they don’t see the basketball program being a national power as a priority. Take that for what it’s worth.

What a day...came home to this mess and then got a call that my only remaining grandparent is in the hospital after suffering a stroke.

IU basketball used to be my escape from life's problems. Even the early Crean years, I still found enjoyment in following the team. Now...it's about gone. It no longer brings me joy, yet I can't look away, and I hate it. Hate this program and what it's turned into. Hate that Purdue has beaten us so many times and their fans crack all these jokes about owning us. Hate that we struggle to score 50 points in games. Hate that no one can shoot. Hate that we don't come back when we're behind. Just hate everything about this program and everything that's happened in the last 3 years.

The Archie Miller era is over. He may be around next year, but it’s officially over. Up to the powers that be to pull the plug, but it’s over. Going to finish the year 16-15.

16-15 would mean another W, correct? Who do we beat at this point? I’m all for looking at the bright side so help me out as I’m really down at the moment

Yes, unfortunately this goes to the top of the university. Gotta new butts in lots of different chairs.

I’m just thinking they have to win one more, right? Surely they’ll luck into at least one more. It would be one of the last two. Home against Minnesota and Wisconsin. Not that it matters, but that was my thinking.

I’m on the wagon. Been a huge Archie supporter but watching him continually do the same thing over and over has gotten old. In the same sense I completely understand it’s not all on him as the guard play has been ASSSSSSSSSSSS all season long but Green continues to see minutes and I can’t stand to see Durham out there contributing nothing. Not a single knockdown shooter has been brought in since he arrived in Bloomington. It is cringeworthy watching IU run offense. Just awful.

All the more confusing of why Archie pocketed those 2 scholarships. The guard play was awful last year when Phinisee went down. Surely coach could see that and didn’t do anything to address that. Don’t get it

I apologize if this has been brought up. How does everybody feel about Archie not letting the team see, hear or watch any of the Bob Knight return. My son and I were boiling. We figured maybe that would bring some fire and/or pride to the team, because his coaching wasn't. This is the first time I've said, but I want him gone and not just because of this.

Yeah I didn't like that either
