But..he had more rebounds and the same number of assists as Green did. He just didn't score the same way; and that's really not his role, anyway. He is capable of FAR better from a production standpoint, and that absolutely needs to change at some point, but defending, taking charges and making it tough on ball handlers is his role right now. Personally, I'd like to see him stay away from the 3 point shot for now because he's better as a cutter/slasher. But he's getting minutes because of the things he does do well right now. I'm concerned about Green again. WAY too many hero plays tonight. At least 2 horrible shots, another that was poorly timed, and 4 turnovers. Can't have that from a senior. He needs to eliminate mistakes and take good shots - and eliminate the "heat check" garbage altogether. Indiana's not good enough yet to overcome their team captain giving away 6 possessions. Green cannot be a 1:2 A/TO guy in any game this year. He made some shots, but "bad DeVonte" came out, and it'll hurt against better teams. He now has 6 assists and 5 turnovers on the season. He's gotta' be better than that. Yeah those numbers show one thing on paper but...he should have about 4/5 more assists on missed point blank shots down low from last game. That would be a 2:1 rate. Popular Post Stuhoo Posted November 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 26, 2019 DGreen really regressed in the entire second half. Hopefully he watches the game film, realizes that the bad stretch was unacceptable, and continues on the far better path he’d been in. pappy1865, IUc2016, HoosierAloha and 5 others 8 Quote

Also true for most of the team not named Trayce. I’m more and more impressed with TJD each game. His demeanor. His selflessness. He’s like the perfect player, teammate. cappymo14 Posted November 26, 2019 Posted November 26, 2019 Was thinking about the conversations about how Indiana is getting to the line and getting opposing teams in foul trouble. What about the inverse? I don’t believe we have had many players in foul trouble yet. Can’t remember many. I believe Brunk and TJD might have had four against N. Florida? Any others? This could also be a sign of improvement on defense over previous. Defending without fouling is always a big deal to me, depth or not.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners thebigweave, ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 3 Quote

And a lot of open 3s. Time will tell when we face equal size and athletes. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile appWell, I feel like Brunk might see some of his minutes decreased via the ol’ first half penalty box. Possibly TJD as well, being a freshman shot blocker and all. Thing is, I think our makeup actually allows us to foul freely if needed. Could help in the B1G against teams that can’t make them pay for it.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Al didn't take heat check shots. But yes..the whole team was sloppy last night. Green just doesn't get the benefit of the doubt because of his past. Popular Post RaceToTheTop Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2019 In the end, "bad DeVonte" was 6 of 11 from the floor and 3 of 5 three. I'd say that his couple of extra turnovers were balanced out by scoring 15 points on 11 shots. Bobman1, thebigweave, MoyeNeeded and 7 others 10 Quote
