Sounds like he wants Romeo to play the Trae Young role for IU. I'd like to see Romeo be more aggressive but I don't think that can be put on Archie.

Frankie Vision doesn't understand that basketball is a team game and Romeo has decided to put "we" before "me" for the betterment/success of the team. Whether he scores 15 or 30 isn't going to matter at the end of the day regarding his NBA draft stock and Romeo knows this...he's playing the role asked of him by his coach...this guy needs to get over it.

I've been kind of turned off by this dude ever since he made a video of Romeo signing autographs for kids after a New Albany game last season and edited one of the shots to show him writing "Vandy" on the back of a kid's shirt.

Romeo is going to have hangers-on like this the rest of his life.  Hypes Romeo because he's just trying to use Romeo's celebrity for clicks/views for "Frankie Vision, LLC."  I'm sure at some point after Romeo gets his contract Frankie will remind him how he made Romeo's career possible since high school, etc.  "Remember where you came from, fam.  I was calling you the best back when you were in high school.  I hook you up, you hook me up, fam."

 

Agree with jbell here.  Coach Miller is trying to win games here, not create highlight youtube videos to Frankie to publish.

The thing that gets me with Frankie is he isn’t even very good. Subpar editing and calling his videography skills subpar would be very modest. Has way better options with IU media at the school. No real reason to keep him around other than being close before. Dude doesn’t even have media access so he just takes clips from the TV broadcast and posts it on his YouTube.

Frankie vision thinks Romeo should shoot every shot, I’ll never forget when he was recording him signing autographs at new Albany and had him sign something that said “vandy” dude is a clown.

 

Saying he’s gonna give Archie a playbook? What a joke.

 

Pretty clear he didn’t want Romeo at IU..

I never understood trolling for entertainment. I especially don’t understand baselessly insulting kids for entertainment.

I am going to defer to every single coach who has ever been a success and most that weren’t and not some troll on the internet. The kids were tired. 

I really doubt that. These kids are in the best shape of their lives and even heard Jalen Rose say that at the halftime of the duke/Gonzaga game.

 

Duke plays 7 like IU was forced to and they do it by choice. They also had a big second half comeback after playing back to back days with a short bench.

 

They didn’t play well, why does it need to be attributed to being tired?

It’s one thing when they are prepared to do it because that is the plan. And they don’t have to travel.

Count me in the crowd that thinks the fatigue excuse is exactly that. An excuse.

Our guys weren’t mentally ready for that game. We played poorly in almost every facet. Mental mistakes all over the place.

You have to remember, many of these kids are fresh off of playing 5 games in 3 days. AAU can be a grind.

I’m not sure how old you all are but 18-22 year kids aren’t fatigued playing 60 minutes of basketball in 72 hours.

You get fatigued when you need a breather and can't get one.   Muscles fatigue.  Lungs max capacity and your body doesn't get the oxygen it needs to perform to its capacity.   Needing a breather is one thing.  Needing one and not GETTING one causes fatigue.

In this case, UTA was not a bad team at all.   Very middle of the pack according to Sagarin, but better than that given the eyeball test.  I'll take that win, run with it, and hope the kids get healthy so we can avoid fatigue and get better.   Playing short handed is tough; especially against teams that can speed you up a little bit.

Some play 36 or 38 minutes of a game over and over.

And comparing playing X games in X days playing 30 of the 40 minutes available isn’t the same debate as playing 40 straight minutes.

2 different types of fatigue.


And a lot of these young players can handle playing all the minutes if not for foul trouble.

Y'all are missing that UT Arlington had a game on Sunday just as we did. Ours was on the road, theirs was at home, but they then had to travel to Bloomington for a road game in a tough environment. We should not have been any more fatigued than our opponent.
