But he's better than the woman who doesn't know the 8 yard line from the 12 yard line.

I refuse to state an opinion that could be taken as sexist.

I don't.  Shocking, I'm sure.

The woman with him is Lisa Byington played basketball and soccer for Northwestern.

Then Lisa Byington would make a terrific women's basketball commentator for BTN.    Unless someone is as good as Bob Costas or Mike Tirico, I have very little interest in listening to play by play people calling sports they never played.   She sounds like she's reading from a teleprompter and does little more than state the facts of a game my eyes can already see.  To football, I think she adds next to nothing.  Same with Doris Burke.   In case that sounds sexist, I don't like Bill Walton either.  Or Billy Packer.  But at least they have some knowledge of the game beyond facts.   I don't dislike Joe Buck as much as some do, but he's another one.  (I also can't stand Pam Ward calling football.  Sorry)

Guess I must be confused. Where are all these play by play guys that played the sport they call?

Doesn't have to be at the professional or even college level to have a better understanding of the game.   Vin Scully played in the Police Athletic League..no higher, but the guy knows baseball.  Don Fischer played both basketball and football as a kid.   Hell, even Bob Lamey played football in his youth.   Lisa Byington calls the game like a fan.  Like she has no knowledge of the game itself, but simply an interest in it.

For the fifth time in the past six years - Bucket Game victory needed to get to six.  (no one is giving the Hoosiers a chance at winning at UM are they?)

yes i give them a chance...as much of a chance as a snowball in hell...wait....the snowball has a better chance !!

Somehow got the W we had to have. One step closer to the program goal of 6-6.

Sad, but truer words have never been spoken!  Maybe a bowl win too, or is that out of the realm of possibility?

I actually like Doris Burke. Now Beth Mowins calling a game isn't a bad thing she calls the college softball games for ESPN.

I didn't think we played well. We just made fewer mistakes than they did.

I don't think that means IU didn't deserve to win though.  IU didn't look good but they did have 4 takeaways.  At this point, a win is a win and one step closer to a bowl.  I hope we don't have so many disappointed fans if we make a bowl by beating pu.

I don't understand the negativity even after a win. Purdue is not unbeatable and we have a chance to make just the twelfth bowl in program history.  People need to get some perspective,  a bowl berth would be a step forward

It being a rivalry game and all I actually like our chances against Purdue. May be some distractions for Brohm with the UofL job opening as well.
