A bit surprised here, but IU picked up a 'VIP' Crystal Ball pick from Dain Ervin on 247 this afternoon (the other three Ramsey picks are for Hooker U).

Ervin has a solid track record (78% accuracy) and is the 3rd ranked prognosticator for the site.

Not sure what to make of this, Chris or Pap are you hearing any rumbling on Ramsey?

I actually thought he made a list and we weren't on it. Haven't heard anything about him for a while.

From 247Sports - NBPA: Who stood out during the opening day of camp?

Jahmius Ramsey, CG, 2019
Ramsey has an impressively physical impact on the game. His size, strength and explosiveness at 6-4 makes him difficult for most guards to deal with. Ramsey isn't just a physical guard. He is also a talented and highly skilled player who fits the mold of today's top guards who have a complete and skill set and the physical tools to defend multiple positions.
Recruiting: Louisville (the favorite), Arkansas, Baylor, Texas A&M and Virginia Tech

Eric Bossi on Ramsey at the NBPA Top 100 Camp -

When I think about the top competitors and defensive players in the class of 2019, I don't get too far down either list before

Jahmius Ramsey's name comes up. A native of Texas, he's the most competitive guard I've seen from that state since Marcus Smart

 was a five-star high schooler.

To have a guy as tenacious as Ramsey is handling the ball and keying the defense allows a team to play fast and others take his lead and play just as spirited. I can't help but think this guy is going to be a on and off the floor leader wherever he ends up. Oregon, Louisville, Kansas, Florida, Miami, Maryland, Indiana, Illinois, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Baylor, Texas A&M and Kansas State are among the many pressing up on him and like seemingly every kid in the class of 2019, Ramsey says he's looking to cut things after the summer.

Corey Evans -

One of the top two-way players in all of high school basketball, Jahmius Ramsey leads one of the more open-ended recruitments. He has been a priority for a number of the local SEC and Big 12 programs for the past year but after another impressive showing on Saturday night, one that he competed in after having surgery three days ago to repair a broken nose that he suffered last week, it is easy to see why some of the best programs continue to jump into his recruitment.

Michigan, Memphis and TCU are among the latest to express some sort of interest in Ramsey which has only further determine that he is in no rush to make a college decision. He told Rivals.com that, barring anything unforeseen, that he wants to take his college recruiting process into the spring.

No visits have been planned and none will be, as he told Rivals.com. He does not want take any of his official visits until after his high school season completes at IMG Academy where he then will sign in the late period.

Louisville was thought to be the team to beat following his visit to campus last month and that can still be so but the longer things play out, the more difficult it might be to hold others off for his commitment.
