Just another aspect to add here. Is everyone comfortable with Green and Al being 2 of our top 3 guards moving forward? I can’t really say that I am.
I expect them to improve and I know Archie will get as much as he can out of them, but will they become what we think they can. Some guys just hit that ceiling or don’t reach what they can be for one reason or another.
We have to consider this possibility, as well as other guards in the conference improving. In my opinion, we need elite guards to get to the final four and win it all. That’s what concerns me with our guard recruiting and missing on elite players.

Brought over from the individual recruits thread..

I truly believe that a switch is going to be flipped for Green. He has the talent and the ability but hasn't put it together consistently. I could see that happening this season with the talent around him. We could possibly see a guard rotation of

PG: Phinisee/Green/Durham
SG: Green/Durham/Anderson/Hunter

Where Anderson and Hunter get spot minutes in 2019/2020. We could see a smaller backcourt with two ball handlers but big on the wings with Hunter, Smith, Brooks, etc.

As mentioned in the other thread, we could see a perfect opportunity to bring in a grad transfer guard too. That would be an ideal situation with Davis and Green being the only seniors on the roster for next season.

Great post! I could not agree more. I expect RP to be ready for a major role no later than next season. The luxury will be flexibility in the three guards we will have.

Sprinkle in JH and DA (or hopefully KB) and I think that backcourt will be tough to contend with.

Some highlights.

Brooks at 12.
TJD at 14.

Hurt and Stewart mostly hold spots

Oscar Tschiebwe bumps 50 spots to 19.

Shadrick to Virginia checks in at 52.

Watford drops 20 spots to 36.

Arman Franklin drops 20 spots to 150ish

Newman rises slightly but still outside 100.

Kentucky recruits bump up.

Ramsey and Harris still strong.

Bouknight with a big rise up to #73.

From that I realized IMG is going to be loaded as well. I also learned there is a highly ranked kid coming up with the name Akok Akok. College crowds might be brutal. Or the first time an announcer says Akok is taking a pounding inside, I will probably lmao.

DJ Jeffries decommits from UK and drops like 30 spots. Shedrick jumping up all the way up too 52 is impressive. Add any of Newman, Bouknight, Ramsey to TJD and KB and that’s an incredible class.

Really looking forward to the 2019 class. If we can land Jackson-Davis, Brooks, and a good to great guard I'll be ecstatic. I really believe Durham will turn into an All Big Ten defensive specialist who can knockdown the open shot.

I'd change my name.  That name would be a nightmare with the people I know.

Same here. Seemed to be showing signs of getting it last year.

Brooks, TJD and Bouknight are who I want. That with who we should have back should be a top 10 team
