Game Thread: Arkansas State, Wednesday 7pm BTN

I'm seeing a lot of different areas being tweaked by different players.  There is a lot of improvement in things that don't show up on a stat sheet.  We responded well to the two 2nd half runs by ASU.  Players seem to be more responsive to CAM's coaching.

I see Durham played another 28 minutes without a TO and per Josh Margolis, he's now played 100 minutes since his last TO.  Not too shabby.

When was the last time we won a game hitting only 5 threes? Huge game by Morgan, maybe Davis a big game on Friday against E. Michigan. When we face the Duke's, Notre Dame's, and Louisville's of the college basketball world we need all players on deck. Glad to see some improvement and the players competing for long stretches.

Archie clearly very frustrated with pick and roll D, transition D, lack of communication, and hustle in the post-game presser. Mentioned "mind-boggling" plays a couple times.

I had to watch this one recorded. Busy preThanksgiving work day.

I get home and my wife says, did u see the score??? My immediate reaction is why would she ask that vs Arkansas State? We must have lost.

I'm glad to see we played pretty well. We don't shoot 3s well. Rob still lost all confidence in his stroke. Juwan played exactly the way he should be. Phenomenal game. I'm glad we stymied their 2nd half run.

Archie is good. Future is bright with Archie. No crazy subs, subbing for mistakes. Extended minutes for good play. Thank goodness.

When was his outside shoot better than average? His biggest problem is shot selection.

Smith, being a freshman, is prone to fouling. I really wish Durham would get those foul calls going to the basket. I think he could have been at the line a few more times tonight.

This and single digit turnovers are the reasons, on the offensive side, why I'm loving Archie. Two of Crean's biggest problems.

When Rojo doesn't score many on here automatically go to the "he's playing terribly". Well outside of a couple of plays in this game his defense was really good. Late when he switched onto Simms he pretty much eliminated him from the game. Sometimes a guy can shoot poorly and not score much yet still really impact a game. I get it though.....we haven't seen good defense in the last decade so recognizing it has become a little more difficult.

My biggest take away, guards contributed to only 3 of the 8 turnovers.....Davis had 2, Freddie 3.    Huge improvement!  There were a couple bad shots by guards though....cough cough Devonte and Curtis.

RoJo did have a good game. Not great shooting numbers at 4-12 from the field but had 8 rebounds and just 1 turnover. If a guard gets 8 rebounds, he’s playing with effort and intensity

When I said he can't throw it in the ocean, my 16 yo daughter thought that was funny. He did have some nice drives but we desperately need 3 help with Johnson. Teams are gonna pack it in now.

I remember him accepting a couple passes he didn't lose, but yeah he's limited on offense. 10 rebounds in what 16 minutes and needed muscle is what we need from Freddie. Huge effort.

His athleticism is incredible. His rebounding lastnight was huge for us and some good defense also at times. His actual ball skills as far as shooting and catching as you pointed out are maddening lol. I am at the point where if it isn't a put back dunk he should refrain from shooting and just look to reset the offense. Still hoping he can become comfortable with some basic ball skills and he could be pretty effective for our team moving forward
