Hmm.  Maybe he's there today to get his shots done in uniform by the old center court wall, like Forrester.  That way his commitment tweet will be looking all professional on Saturday.

 

If this is real (there sure is a lot of smoke here), then we should all be thrilled.  He's higher than any recruit since Deron Davis in November, 2015.  Archie's highest commitment ever.  Another message that signing with Indiana is big.  A rising big man from Indiana that can't wait to commit.  This is awesome.

Completely agree. He very well could be committed right now. Just waiting for the announcement

A little off topic but it plays in with a recruit like TJD. With the FBI's investigation into the shoe game could regional/state schools become more important? I feel like we have a real shot with the instate and regional big time recruits again.

If CAM is the coach we think he will be, it will be that much sweeter when these kids choose IU over Izzo knowing they were his top targets in these recruiting battles. Hopefully CAM will be the poacher of the surrounding states in a couple of years

Can anyone give me a better scouting report on Trayce?  There's not much out there.  The few videos show him in position to receive a pass inside and go up hard for a bucket/dunk.  That's awesome and important, but what else?  He's listed as a forward, but seems to play like a center.  His top 50 ranking is awesome, and I'm not doubting it by any means, I'd just like to know more about his play.  Anyone?

His freshman year at center grove he was just the player out there that was taller then everyone else but showed he had potential. From the games I was at he scored most of his points around the basket on out backs and post feeds. At the beginning of his sophomore year it was clear that he worked on his game in the summer. He was making more post moves and looked more comfortable on the block but still wasn’t really looking the shoot the ball further out from the basket. At the end of the season he started to figure out how good he could be and made me start thinking he would be a High major prospect. He was looking for his mid range jumper and was making great post moves and dominating teams with less talent. He still has plenty of room to get even better because he had problems finishing through contact and missed several easy ones in the games I was at. With me being a season ticket holder at center grove I’m looking forward to his junior year to see his growth on he court. If I was a betting man I would say this year he will look to expand his game and start taking 3 point shots.
