Already drooling over watching a proper defense. Pairing Archie's respectful defensive with better recruits should be a thing of beauty in the next few years. Once he gets 2-3 years of players engraved in to help new recruits with the defensive scheme, we should be rolling!

I recommend it. It glitched through the first 10 minutes for me though.

I really liked it. It's great because Goodman knows Archie well, so he's able to talk about him deeper than most. Also Goodman understands IU expectations, hallelujah.

Usually not a big Goodman fan but he was a great listen. Anyone know if their is a history between Goodman and Crean? Cause I know Crean had his problems here but Goodman went after him throughout the whole podcast.

You weren't joking. Goodman pulled no punches and said a lot of the things that we had been saying about Crean the past few years.

Goodman mocking all the pundits that were crying that FCTC got a raw deal and shouldn't have been fired.  Loved it.

You weren't joking. Goodman pulled no punches and said a lot of the things that we had been saying about Crean the past few years. 

I was surprised how frank he was about Crean's lack of consistency and his constant excuses. Good to hear from anyone in the media, especially a national guy. I still say Crean spent too much time stroking the local media guys so that they supported him. This did nothing to dispel that thought.

Agree with his point, but calling the Arizona and Indiana situations comparable in order to illustrate  it is just deeply freaking stupid. They were not remotely comparable.

I don't remember the grade they gave him, but I don't recall anyone in the media being down on the hire. Not so much for his coaching but fixing the culture first and foremost.

I do find it funny I continually see articles where the media essentially says since it's not in his DNA to go out and kiss babies it could be a problem. He doesn't as much like the media and that could be a problem. If RMK taught this fanbase anything it's we don't give a damn about the other stuff as long as we are winning consistently with fundamentals. Why is that so hard for the media to understand we don't care about the things they feel are important to us? We want to win.
