Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners I respect your opinion. Reporters have a conflict of interest. Their primary job is to write stories to sell adds and get clicks, period. In order to write the story, you have to have access. AN honest opinion which isn't favorable to the subject the story is about, seriously reduces access, reduced access, very limited stories. This IU hire is a BIG STORY, everybody wants access, therefore, I would imagine every story will be positive. In today's age, the story will, in most instances, be written in a way which doesn't jeopardize the reporters ability to earn a living. My .02 chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote

I am telling you I know where the source of the intel comes from. I'd believe it too. Then if he wants to gain any credibility back, he needs to name his source, and make an apology. In IU circles, he stepped all over himself in a big way. He probably should have double and triple checked the source, before making the type of claim he made, and then when the info started coming out about Donovan being at practice, should have either gone silent, or given up some kind of proof. I've never met Justin, and he could be a really good guy, but as a reporter........ IUsafety and Tom White 2 Quote

BD will make far more over a 7-10 year span at IU and also have job security that will not exist in OKC, especially when Westbrook opts out next season. Derp... Quote

I’m here to win games.’’’ http://www.wthr.com/article/kravitz-miller-has-the-coaching-chops-and-the-personality-to-handle-the-iu-expectations Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners I'm warming up to the hire, slightly, but too bar fair the national media thought Crean was a home run too. Trish Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 I'll give him a few months to sale me a product. I know it would be smart to give him a couple seasons, but this isn't a complete rebuild. He needs to win me over in recruiting, coaching clinics, and community awareness this summer. His offense concerns me, it seems a little Creany to me. His defense shouldn't be an issue. HIs recruiting also seems a little concerning. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 For me, my BtownBanners published preference list was:1) DonovanStevens 2) Sean Miller 3) someone under 45 years old.Based on those criteria, Fred Glass likely went and got me the #1 guy nationally who was interested in the job. Quote

Aaron Posted March 25, 2017 Posted March 25, 2017 People are nuts. This is a great hire assuming Donovan said no. Having attended the Dayton Wichita St game I can tell you Dayton played better D in that game than any game I have watched Crean coach in 9 yrs. Both teams were so under-seeded and it was unfair they played in 1st rd and both teams looked amazingly disciplined. I am so happy to shove it in the stupid Dayton fans face next to me who loved Archie and was so arrogant and said we would never get him. Well we've got him now. Dayton fans on their message boards are in mourning over losing him which is a very good sign Marquette considering message boards were kind of happy to see Crean go when he left them for IU 9 yrs ago.
