Ads good as Wilkes could be, it's not a deal I would make. Ever. Alford will be THAT much of a bust/liability.

I don't know if Wilkes would leave UCLA with Alford. 

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but a huge part of Alford's pitch was networking with local NBA talent.

That's why I keep telling the guys here that hang on a few of the 24/7 guys every word. They flip flop so much and always make sure they have an out so they don't look bad. They aren't anymore connected than you or I.

It's one thing if Billy Donovan didn't want to come back to the college game. It's another if our administration wasn't will to pay him an extra million a year or something like that. That would be unacceptable.

Really none of them said an announcement was probable.  Insider said maybe and Mile basically said to take it with a generous portion of salt.
