RoJo is coming back, presumably.
JBJ, I really have no idea.  I really like him, and almost hope that he gets his best opportunity to play professionally, be it NBA, D league, or overseas.  I don't think anyone else can match his production (duh), but I wouldn't hate to see some of the young guns get some time.  Remember, CuJo is one smooth operator out there, and was a very high recruit.  He lost his mojo after Kansas, but there's some untapped potential there.  I really hope that he plans on coming back, because I could see him having a great career at IU still.  Obviously RoJo can play SG well, too, and we'd all like to see AD headfake his way to the hoop a couple times.  So while I'd miss JBJ, I don't think losing him would be disastrous for the team.
Thomas is a different story.  He wants to play at the next level, and I'm assuming that he missed the banquet and other team events because he is off training with some specialist for the pre-draft stuff.  Huge chance we lose him, and he will leave a huge hole on the roster.
Given CAM's full court press to keep all three recruits, I think the only logical conclusion is that TB and JBJ have indicated that they intend to leave.  Remember, prior to Clifton reaffirming his commitment, he said he just wanted to talk with Archie to make sure Archie didn't intend to red-shirt him.  We all recognize that even a redshirt takes a scholly, but given the subsequent affirmation of the commitment, Archie must have informed Clifton that there's a place on the team for Clifton next year.
Using the best information available now, that's my guess.  On one hand, we are losing all of our current stars.  On the other hand, no one is leaving the team for a different NCAA team.  And the fan in me sees a team with no stars on it, and a new coach, with a decently balanced roster full of guys that want to play together.  And this is certainly not a team bereft of talent, either.  A top seven of Deron, Juwan, Collin, RoJo, Newkirk, Justin Smith, and whichever guard emerges will be good enough, and better than any roster Archie has had before.

Very well put. Let's not forget the flashes both Jones and Green displayed last season. Both will be stars, and without JBJ, we are in really good shape with what we bring back in 4 guards (Green, Jones, Newkirk, and presumably RoJo). Morgan, Hartman, and Smith will be a good trio at the 3/4 spot, with RoJo able to fill in at the 3 if needed because of his defense. The main hole is depth at he 5 spot. Davis is a very talented big man, but can't play every second along with with being foul prone.

I have a lot of faith next season, but also understand there will be some limitations.

I don't disagree. I've thought all along that JBJ and TB likely would leave. And I think Archie had some indication of that. Otherwise, he could've just let any of the three signees out of their LOIs. I don't think he wants to get his IU career started by telling two players they'd have to give up their scholarships, so he had to have a really, really good idea of what would happen. As far as losing stars -- those stars got us to 18-16, 7-11 last season. So I say let's get the roster set, and let's get going on 2017-18. Archie's still got some good material to work with and almost certainly can do better than 18-16 and 7-11.

I'm not sold on Archie knowing that JBJ and TB were gone when he reached out to the recruits. I think it's more likely that he didn't want to go 0fer on his first incoming class while at IU. That could cause headaches down the road. I think JBJ is gone, with promises to momma Blackmon. TB is difficult to gauge. He seems to really enjoy college and his teammates. I could see him coming back for his junior year. If that happens it will be interesting to see who comes off scholarship.

That's great stuff by A Bozich. I really think Green and De'Ron have the chance to be the 1-2 punch on a B1G champ team.

They both are raw untapped potential. Same with Morgan.

I think JBJ really likes Archie & so does his family. There have been rumors of him staying & maybe his brother Veejay walking on. It's odd that Curtis Jones was not mentioned at all today.

or McSwain.

Yes you are correct. He just seems to fly under the radar all the time but I do know for sure there was talk towards the end of the season about Jones leaving & I noticed we are recruiting a lot of two guards.

I'm starting to think TB is gone and James is back, the opposite of what I expected a few weeks ago.

Jbj staying and his brother walking on is intriguing and makes sense to me. If Vijay still wants to play college basketball this would be a great opportunity for him. It'd be a chance for them to play together one more time.

I really liked the comment about having a post presence.  I think Davis is going to give us that (much moreso than Bryant) - I just hope he can handle more minutes and stay out of foul trouble.  I look forward to recruiting (successfully) another difference maker in the middle in 2018/2019.

In the collection of Bozich tweets Stuhoo provided there's specific mention of JBJ and Johnson but nothing regarding TB.  Is that an unintended (or maybe intended) subtle message that JBJ and Johnson are both returning and TB is gone?

In the entire article on ITH there is no mention of TB. It's notable that there's no mention of Curtis, but TB is such a major player that the lack of mention of him, to me is far, far more notable.

On the other hand, if our front line is: DeRon, Juwan, Collin, Freddie, Justin, Clifton, MSB, and Zach, we are more than well covered.

A healthy Juwan and an in-shape DeRon will be big-time pieces, Collin will be Collin, and Justin and Freddie should be key defensive pieces from the get-go this year.
