Don't think Bennet would recruit well enough to get IU to the final four and beyond. Although it would be better than the status quo. He had a 16-point second half lead in the Elite Eight last year with players he recruited before he had even started having real success at Virginia. He would have no problem recruiting players good enough to win championships at IU. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Feathery Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Doyle wanted Crean fired when there were fans supporting Crean. Now fans wamt Crean fired and he wants Crean to stay. His schtick is to be a contrarian. Also, you can see something similar between DD and JMV. Their shows are back to back and they had different views on the Grigson/Pagano stuff. They also seem to have a differing opinion on Crean. I think its all for show. They need to have opposite opinions to drive ratings. CR3AMnCR1MS0N, ALASKA HOOSIER, LIHoosier and 1 other 4 Quote

I don't think he is going to "grow" much more as a coach. Also if Glass does nothing he may find himself searching the classified ads with Crean looking for a new job. What's with the uniform stand of media members behind the coaching staff. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Much more? He hasn't even started to grow as a coach. WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Ugh Doyel.. Trust your eyes and not your bosses and connections. Hope someone can remind him of this article in a few days. If Crean returns 1/2 to 2/3 of its fanbase won't return with him unless he starts the year 20-0. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners VO5 1 Quote

Hoosiers High Life Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 It's not 1963 and it's not the NFL. Defense doesn't win championships. Talent and balance seem to be a winning formula though. WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 So, are Crean's injury excuses and Glass' inability to find the right guy going to save Crean's job again? I think, finally the answer is no. But until it happens I'll remain worried. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners bnkepner, CR3AMnCR1MS0N, HoosierTrav and 4 others 7 Quote
