Bryant wouldn't have made a roster. He'd be stuck in perpetual D league or Euro league.

Bryant seems to enjoy college. I think he made a good choice as he is trying to improve enough to actually make a roster. Not sure it's going to happen though with his athletic ceiling being so low.

Not athletic enough to play any position in the NBA. Kind of like Watford in that way.

I thought Watfords size and shooting actually gave him a better chance.

I'm still hoping to see Bryant take that next step somehow and be an NBA success, somehow. I'm just having a hard time seeing him overcome athletic disadvantages.

Well alot of his deficiencies are now front and center and last year yogi helped hide them. He wont get drafted this year imo. He is awfully slow.

Not saying Bryant is coming back. But he's not close to being ready. He's a smart kid. So we'll see.

This was my other thought about Donovan as well.  I think Stevens still has that kindle burning to make IU a powerhouse again!

You got it. He got schooled by happ from wisconsin. Bryant is decent but was highly over ranked. Should of been in the 75 to 100 range

Bryant should've went pro last year. He probably wouldn't have made a roster and he was nowhere near ready as this season shows. but he might've gotten a guaranteed contract. That's never going to happen now unless he makes drastic improvements in multiple facets of his game. He couldn't play any position in the league right now.

At this point, I'm just kind of hoping Crean makes some changes to match his personnel. I would say run some offensive sets but apparently we have the 8th best offense in the nation. So... every freaking practice should be dedicated to defense from here out. That's surely how any high level coach would handle the glaring need on his team, right?

Take the 8th best offense rating with a grain of salt. Remember that rating is based on the 348 best schedule. If Crean didn't load the schedule with so many terrible teams that rating wouldn't look so good. 

Note, that's not to say the defense is terrible.

I would simply say move.  Maybe set screens with a purpose.  Stop taking bad shots.  Maybe?

Yep it is all by plan and why if we do end up in the tourney will give us a 7 -11 seed and probably a quick exit. But guys like greg doyel will be salivating about what a great job crean did because he won 20 games.

Except that Crean has never coached the kids on how to  move without the ball, nor how to set up a proper screen, and it's quite evident that he doesn't preach about valuing possessions and taking only good quality shots.  It'd be like trying to teach an old dog new tricks, he just can't do it at this point in the season.

Yes, they all had intermediate stops for experience along the way, but right now some people have seen enough of Crean that the risk/ reward has veered heavily to the risk side. Having watched the same 9 years that they have, I can't fault them for that. Not a route I'd personally choose, but it's a reality of where we are right now.

Could you imagine Blackmon in a Knight-like offensive scheme?  Top 10 all-time IU scorer, imo.

To be fair, if Blackmon stayed for his senior year (which I don't think he will) he would probably be right around the Top 10 all-time on the scoring list, and that's with missing half a season.

Blackmon wouldn't play for Knight. That defense issue and the type of shots he takes would not endear him to Knight.
