Without knowing any details, this sounds very much like a domestic dispute. These are the most emotionally charged situations by a wide margin. I hope this can be fairly resolved without completely derailing Hendershot's future. That said, the details of the case may indicate that he crossed a line that he must be held accountable for and can no longer be part of the program.

Football players have a tendency to be violent people. So, stuff happens and players get tossed.

It’s all part of normal; kinda like losing a percentage of key players to injury.

Not good news (of course), but man, the football program is doing well.

Ramsey's gone, Cronk is gone, our stud offensive coordinator is gone, and now our star tight end and second leading receiver is probably gone too. Sure, we're still in a good place compared to IU teams in the past, but we're in a much worse place than we were at the end of November.

If true it’s most unfortunate. Give him a slap on the wrist punishment like UM, OSU, PSU and MSU would.

Can't agree with that.  IU needs to maintain standards and this (allegedly) is way over the line.  Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Weird that the only felony is the entry.

Misdemeanor battery, and I would assume there’s a felony battery option.

It’ll depend on evidence. If she has bruising on her neck he’s toast and I can’t / wouldn’t argue against it. Best case scenario for Peyton is cooler heads prevail, the “neck slam” was by in large exaggerated due to her being scared and upset and they throw out the other stuff, chalk it up to a miss understanding followed by a heated argument. He gets destruction of property for the phone and everyone moves on.

Either way, I’m incredibly disappointed in him as this kind of stuff cannot happen. This is why IU can’t have nice things
