  4. My goodness, this one really hurts. he was such an amazing kind hearted man. From a kid to an adult I always remember him shaking my hand, asking me how I was doing and just being so nice to a nobody like myself. But not just himself but his whole family are just amazing people. I'm going to miss seeing him at Uptown Cafe eating with his family. RIP George

So true - and I think C Edwards is really good! Purdoo finished third in the conference last year with Haas, Vincent Edwards, Mathias, PJ Thompson, AND Carsen Edwards. They added one nice grad transfer, lost 4/5 of their starting lineup, and will be markedly better? Ahhhh...no.

  6. Fun fact, looking at the All Big Ten First Team, no voter had both Romeo and Juwan in their five-man roster, but nearly 2/3 had Juwan or Romeo on their team.

Don’t usually get personal, but the dude picking Purdue to win the conference is officially a moron. There is no rational argument, none, for that unless he thinks Edwards is gonna be Russell Westbrook. Actually, now that I think about it, not even then.

  12. So we add Jackson Davis and Brooks in the Fall signing period then see about Hurt in the spring?
    4 points
  13. There have been several recent CB flips to MSU for Stewart which makes sense given TJDs visit is over and Brooks won't commit to a visit with MSU. The only real threat if there was one for TJD was MSU so this should be seen as a very good sign for us. IMO the only threat I see for Brooks is UNC. We should have a commit or a date for TJD to commit by next Friday from what I've heard. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Over the weekend, Hurt told USA Today in Colorado he’s interested to see the way Indiana uses former McDonald’s All-American guard Romeo Langford this season. "I'm pretty sure he's one-and-done," Hurt said in the article. "I just want to see how they develop him. What they do for him is key for me." Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk

He had 4 studs drawing attention away from him. And yes he scored a lot but he was only the 8th most effective. And he did that while have the number 1 drawing defenses. The only reason his numbers look so amazing is his usage was ridiculous. His was higher than Carr’s at PSU

I have to admit, I don't understand this sentiment. He averaged almost 20 points a game on a fairly talented team, and there really aren't many things that he doesn't do well. Probably undersized to be successful in the NBA as he isn't really a point guard, but he is an outstanding college player.

    Gold Jerseys

Indiana Men’s basketball coach Archie Miller tweeted out a little after 8pm this evening that the first ‘Gold Jersey’ of the year was earned today, by none other than Juwan Morgan. Archie uses the gold jersey as his standard performance evaluator during the week’s practices. Archie made note that Morgan outperformed the next closest teammate by a stunning 31 points. If you think about the context of a basketball practice, that usually lasts about 2 hours or so per day. For Juwan to outperform everyone else by 31 points is incredible. Archie made mention in the tweet that he was “looking forward to seeing if someone gets his gold jersey next week.” This should come as no surprise to anyone that Morgan was able to be the first player to earn the gold jersey for the 2018-2019 season. Morgan will have his hands on that jersey as much as possible. It’s Morgan’s senior year– he’s got one last opportunity to make another run at a second Big Ten title, and to play into early April. It’ll be interesting to see who shines in next week’s practice and ultimately earns the prized jersey for week two. Devonte Green earned the gold jersey on a few occasions last year, along with a few of seniors. It will be interesting to see if somebody else at least bridges the gap from Morgan’s 31 point victory, because that will mean one of two things– Morgan either was just that good, or everyone else on the team wasn’t that good. Indiana is still three plus weeks from it’s season opener, so there is plenty of time for progress to be made and another gold jersey to be earned. Indianasportscoverage.com
