  1. According to the Herald Times' Mike Miller (@MikeMillerHT), former RB commit Kristian Pechac has joined the program as a walk-on. He was a very talented RB in high school with plenty of scholarship options. Let's hope he is willing to put in the work and sticks around this time!

    IUFB Offseason Updates

He was at Pima Community College. Enrolled after early graduation. This comes after Pima announced next season or year they are dissolving their football program

  7. I think he graduated early and was attending some community college in Arizona. Either way, he adds even more depth to an already talented RB group. We now have Ellison, Gest, Walker, and Pechac (plus a few others) on the roster.

  8. New article on 247 says after completing the second session of games on Wednesday at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, Igiehon discussed his interest in Louisville, Oregon, Stanford, UConn, St. Johns, Kentucky, Duke, Indiana, and Florida. Another recent article by Jody Demling gives mention of Louisville, Oregon, Stanford and UConn as the "hot" schools and Igiehon says he is looking at cutting his list to eight schools, but isn't sure when that would happen.

  11. Mods- Can you add Boucher to the '19 Hot Board? If I know anything about Archie, this kid will immediately become a top recruiting priority. He may even surpass TJD, Brooks, and the like.

  14. Wow! Wasn't he going to an art school or something like that? Could be totally wrong, but that's what is stuck in my head. I'd love to see him break out!

  17. https://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/nbpa-top-100-kira-lewis-talks-recruiting Indiana: "I'm still trying to take a visit there. With all of these camps and everything it's hard to schedule. You can't take visits in July, so I'm trying to get all I can in during June. If I don't go in June then I'll definitely go when I can go (on visits) again. People love basketball at Indiana, the tradition they have it's just a great school. A great basketball school." Lewis said that he has an unofficial visit set for Georgia on June 17th and that he is also planning one for Alabama along with trying to get to Indiana before the end of the month. The Crimson Tide appears to be in the best position at this point while Indiana has made a good push and Georgia could really help themselves with a strong visit. However, the potential game changer here would be an offer from Kentucky. If the Wildcats end up offering during July, they would likely become the favorites to land Lewis.

  18. I didnt realize until today that Coach Reich is also the QB coach. Reich will be a huge improvement/help for Luck over the previous regiment. Not to mention Coach Reich had the same surgery Luck did when he retired.

  26. It seems this could be an unbelievable class with a couple 5 stars (TJD, Watford, Hurt, Brooks, Carton) or we miss on everyone except TJD and grab some lower guys like Newman, Franklin, Harris. Just such a mystery right now in June.

  27. If Smith’s skill development is further along than I expect than we are in for a really special year... can’t wait to watch. This is the most excited I’ve been for an IU season since the 2013 season.

  28. http://www.zagsblog.com/2018/06/10/as-matthew-hurt-stars-with-usa-basketball-he-plans-to-cut-list-this-summer/ “I’m going to cut my list after AAU season, so around August right now,” Hurt told me following the game. “Around seven or eight [schools], I think.”Hurt, who models his game after versatile NBA players like Kevin Durant and Dirk Nowitzki, plans to take official visits in “mostly September” and then make a decision by the early signing period in November.“We start high school season in November, so I’m trying to get it done mostly by then,” he said.

  30. Helps schools like IU where depth is an issue. It will allow for freshmen to get some experience if needed and to rest starters in blow outs. I think it's a great rule! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Austin Boucher confirmed to The Journal Gazette he will continue his basketball career at the Bosco Institute, a prep school in Crown Point, with the aim being a college debut in 2019-2020. Boucher finished his senior season at North Side with a loss in Regional championship game

  42. Have you told Archie about his middle school cross country success? That, combined with the fact that he's in a large house, have completely won me over. It's too bad there's nobody out there stumping for this kid relentlessly.

  45. I think I've got the timeline down on this kid: Went to Norwell Middle School, transferred to Bellmont and repeated 8th grade, transferred to South Side and played for 2 years, mysteriously sat for a few games last Christmas and was rumored to have left the team, transferred to North Side last summer and is now transferring to prep school in Maryland. Matt Carlino thinks this kid transfers too much.
