I Agree- for now. I think once DD gets into shape he'll be at least a competent back-up, probably even solid. Until then TB will need to play lots of minutes against good teams. Also, would be nice to have McSwain as another frontcourt option. I'm not expecting him to score- but just defend and rebound while OG and JMO rest would be great.

Finally, hoping CH is back by Conference play, then IU has a very deep and flexible frontcourt.

I think the game is a toss-up but I see Vegas favoring KU by 5 or 6. I feel like this isn't a game that a CTC-coached team usually wins but would love to proven wrong.

Regardless of outcome just remember Oklahoma beat Villanova in the Pearl Harbor invitational 78-55 at the beginning of last year. And then Villanova turned around and beat Oklahoma when it counted in the final four 95-51. Both IU and Kansas will be totally different teams by the end of the year then what we will see next Friday. I can't wait for the journey to begin.

It would be nice to have an early season resume-building win on our resume.

Ideally we win 2 of 3 against Kansas, North Carolina, and Louisville.  All 3 would be fine too, I wouldn't complain.

We need to win at least one, two would exceed what our expectations should be, and all three would be amazing. I'm predicting we take all three, but I'm an optimist.

Given that KU, UL, and UNC are projected to be better teams, yes, we should really only expect one upset. I'd hope for better, but we'll see. I'm curious how quickly are freshman and new PG will gel with the system. Sort of expecting some shaky play to start the season.

We get one of those teams at home which should be the first big opponent at the renovated assembly hall. Advantage IU

We're higher ranked than another and playing at a "neutral site" in Indy. Advantage IU

Neutral site against a better opponent. Advantage KU

We should expect better but only losing two and winning the rest of the noncon games won't hurt us too much come seeding time.

I think 3 out of 4 is realistic (NC, UL, Butler) and KU is a toss-up. I'm expecting 2 of 4 but wouldn't be shocked with 3.

Anyone know if this game is at the same venue as the MSU game that is also part of the Armed Forces thing? I'm asking because we're the 9pm game. If they're at the same venue, no big deal. If they're at different venues then we'll get to see Izzo or Sean Miller call timeouts and foul the last 5 minutes of a 15 pt blowout while ESPN announcers talk about Kentucky and we miss the first 8 minutes of our game. 

Just trying to be prepared so I don't spend that time screaming at the TV.

Nice, thanks! I hate when we play the 9pm game and the game before eats into the first 10 minutes. Glad we won't have to deal with that this time.

From what I have seen so far from Butler I think we can beat them I mean after all they longer have Dunham and Jones. Butler needs a point guard because Tyler Lewis is not the answer.
