2 biggest stories in college football are not about college football.

Just when you think Lane Kiffin can't be any bigger of a d-bag, he proves you wrong.

Just when you think Michigan can't be anymore weasely and slimy, they find a way to make the B1G do it for them.

I guess the Sorsby nonsense over the summer was just the warm-up, CFB has more uneccessary drama than a "Real Housewives" episode.

It's not like LSU really has a choice. There are 2 conferences that matter now and will ever matter for the rest of college sports' lifespan. As an institution and especially one like LSU who historically has issues with money, you would have to be completely out of your mind to get yourself kicked out of one of those conferences over 2 guys who weren't good enough to make an NFL roster. The fact that we got to this point is completely baffling to me.

I don't think it's just Moore. Oregon's scheme is pretty basic. They generally just hand the ball off and let their backs find a seam or throw to the flat/slants and let their players talent take over. It works 90% of the time...until they play teams of equal talent or far superior coaching/preparation (hello IU.) That is why the have to have elite talent to win and why they always come up short in the big game, they are easy to prepare for.

Stein at pUKe is gonna find it tougher sledding for his PeeWee league level sophisticated offense, without Oregon's 32 5-Star difference makers.

Thoughts?

I didn't watch the Boise State game but in the past, when Moore was pressured his decision making was exposed. The trick is getting pressure with that front 5. Because, as you mentioned above, they have the talent all over the field including up front. But reading the stats of the game it looks like Boise State did just that. Cause havoc and create pressure to collapse the pocket resulting in a 17-7 lead for the Broncos in the first half. I'm assuming the war of attrition and coaching adjustments took over. I'm pretty basic myself so I don't really have the knowledge of Oregon's scheme (both Stein and Mehringer) so there's really nothing more I can add to that. I do know, most games (like 90%) are won in the trenches, regardless of scheme. Also, I'm under the assumption Moore worked on his decision making while under pressure during the off season. Whether or not that actually works is for all of us to see unfold during the season. I'd bet the house that NFL scouts are watching him through the same decision making under pressure lens as I am.

Here's an example of Moore's decision making from last year.

The arrogance of LSU and their fan base is off the charts. They see themselves as the top Blue Bloods of the SEC.

Just saying… for some reason they are flying waaaaay under the radar, but Sumrall, the new HC at Florida is really good and they are a financial monster that already has excellent player talent.

Expect them to be back near the top of the SEC this year or next.

Yep I expect him to get a pay raise this offseason to prevent him from getting poached

I've seen twitter experts saying Primetime is the next head guy at FSU. I hope so! The evil genius Bryant Haines would be a likely candidate in my estimation.

Haines may take that job.  It was said on one of the interviews I watched that he doesn't want to leave for a steppingstone job.  I know he also said himself though he doesn't have a burning desire to be a head coach at this point.  With a baby at home however it would be hard to take a head job and have any sort of family life like he has at IU.  The flip side is the $$$$ he will give up by not accepting a head job at some point.

For some people, I imagine making $3MM a year is enough.

Interesting move. Mizzou/KU isn’t IU/PU, but it’s not that far from it. Fair bit of hatred there. Imagine when they play next year it’ll get a little ugly for Tiller.

Did some research on that rivalry one time. I think it was after visiting Lawrence and noticing that, while their eyes were on playing us, it was still pretty apparent that Mizzou was public enemy #1 there. That one goes a lotttt deeper than “our campuses aren’t too far apart, hate u lol!!!”

If there was any doubt ^
