Section 125 tickets are now available for $800 including fees. Still expensive but they have dropped from $1,576 (almost 800 buck drop) in three days.

Bet they will continue to drop as out of state season ticket holder realize they won’t be able to “ring the bell $$$$” to the extent they initially thought. Hopefully it gets to the point where a number of Hoosiers are in attendance.

I saw Seat Geek has several ~$550 tickets in the lower sections

ok, I need 1 of the actual football guys around here to explain Ewers to me. My untrained eye sees a very solid guy who doesn’t make special plays. What am I missing?

I have a sense that that's Oregon. And if it is, a big ole fish named Dante Moore will hit the portal.

Moore was supposed to be a GUY, right? Would they be punting on him already?

Kinda crazy how in the span of about 10 years a scout/coach has gone from somebody who needs to analyze and predict future potential to somebody who needs to gauge fit with the team. At least at programs that can spend money.

I wonder if that’s going to create almost two different groups of scouts/coach. You spend years evaluating one thing it’s not going to be easy to just transitioning over

The thing that kills me about the Portal/NIL combo is mid-major programs pitches have become, “Come here for immediate playing time and exposure and our development program will get you a giant bag from a power conference school as a soph or junior.  That has got to feel so gross to some of these guys.

He's a QB for a team that's in the CFP and will be hosting a first round game.  He's not awful, that's for sure. I'd be happy if he were at IUFB but some folks might not agree with me. I think his biggest critiques are his 'accuracy' (65% career) and health. Last year was his best year. I think you hit the nail on the head with what you are seeing. Solid QB that doesn't make too many special plays. I would add he doesn't make too many mistakes either. Has a solid arm but sometimes misses open spots from time to time. (Social media destroyed him for his performance against UGA. I think all of that is unfair but that's just me.)  I'm not sure that translates to playing on Sunday though.

I'm all for players getting paid but there does have to be some structure. This is blatant tampering. I know it's been going on for a long time but this gives the appearance that they don't even care about hiding it anymore.

Interesting shuffle at Indiana schools.

Ball State fires head coach. Ball State hires Butler head coach. Butler hires Ball State assistant to be HC.

And who was that BSU assistant? Kevin Lynch -- son of former IU head coach Bill Lynch.

Bill Lynch was the Mike Davis of IU football: the interim who was a decent, good, nice man -- but not the head coach of a major college program.

Pretty sure he was a 100 on 247 coming out lol, but he'll be a junior next year. So Lanning has to make the choice between an uber talent that hasn't really played, or a known commodity. If he goes the old guy route again, I'm not sure how they'll ever sign a big name QB out of HS.

Belichick forced UNC to hire him two entire staffs. A football staff and a scouting/portal staff. And schools have been moving that way since the portal was introduced. It is WAY too much work for even the hardest grinders in recruiting. Not mention retention and development of your own team.

As we have discussed I’d bet next year the conference winners will still automatically get in, such as AZ State this year, but they will be seeded by playoff ranking rather than receiving preferential treatment.

If that format had been in place this year IU would have opened by hosting Boise State in Bloomington. The place would have been nuts.

Wow, the whining from the fans over something so inconsequential.

Lol right. Us having a hype video before we come out is going to change the game, but the actual logistics of their guys having a home game don't matter at all.
