He played very well this weekend. Tryce Jackson-Davis also got an offer from IU along with Jerome Hunter. Trey Galloway was also impressive but he is 2020 class I believe. Clint Hopft also shot the ball really well but he will just be an incoming freshman. It was a great weekend. Damezi Anderson was here on Friday and got an offer also.

Think Henry will get an offer on his visit?

Anyone else feel as though Henry should be rated higher? His game seems quite solid all around.

Granted all I've seen is highlights, but he seems to be flying under the radar. I was impressed with what I saw and he seems to be the perfect banger type that works in Archie's system. I would be happy to get him, especially knowing we potentially can fill 6 scholarships (even though it will more likely be 4-5)

He was told there would be no scholarship offer today but he will be evaluated all of July and maybe one will be extended then if he plays well. The same with Eric Hunter also.

That's refreshing.

Yup. So nice to see this type of approach. It gives players motivation to go earn that offer.

Nope. That's not the primary reason why it's such good news.

The best part? It gives a clear impression that an IU offer is something to be coveted, and that if you get one, you're special. Want this dynamic to be further magnified as our roster quality improves.

I'm not trying to rain on the parade and I'm all in for Stu's rationale that an IU offer is something to be coveted.  But, does it suggest to a target that I'm really waiting on Ivan Renko and if Ivan goes elsewhere I'll give you his offer?  How does a coach overcome that perception in the recruit's mind?

It's not perception, it's reality.  If IU can get to a position of power, then we don't have to sugar coat it.

You all saw the way Jordan Tucker jumped at the late Duke offer after Kevin Knox chose Kentucky over Duke.  It is definitely a dangerous game to play, and not really one you can swing unless you can count on having talent there.
