Trish Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Now the question is, will Crean actually have an offense where Byrant and Davis get the ball down low. Our perimeter shooting is going to take a major hit this summer, we should focus less on the dribble drive offense imo. Defenserocks28, NRT137 and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

CTC showed tremendous progress in that area last season, even with all of those shooters on the court. Our offense has been consistently excellent for the past two years. The difference last year? TB and Max in the post instead of Hanner and Collinn. Additionally, Davis will not be anywhere near the low post scorer that TB is, though I assume that going against TB in practice will gear him toward that skill. Also, we will still have more than a few very, very good outside shooters: RoJo, Hartman, OG, Juwan, Josh N., Cujo, Devonte, and...JBj will be firing away again! Crean did show great promise this year. He's finally making in season changes which is still hard to believe. Bryant needs to touch the ball down low every possession next year (minus transition). Our back court scares me.. Blackmon and Josh have knees made of glass. If we lose those too, then we will have to rely on freshman guards. I hope Green and Jones and ready to make an impact from day 1, we will need them to contribute like OG and Morgan did. Our freshman were major keys in our season this year. Without OG or Morgan this year, I don't know if we win the BIG Outright. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 This past season, plus Thomas Bryant returning, are huge wins for Crean. Things seem to finally be going his way. ALASKA HOOSIER, WayneFleekHoosier and Bobman1 3 Quote

Bowhunter Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 The best part about Bryant coming back is the fact that we can match up with any team and the nation, big or small ,slow or fast. We should be deep in every position which is so important in the tournament. HoosierAloha and Crimson and Cream 2 Quote
Trish Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Some early season thoughts Line up? RoJo-James-Troy-OG-Thomas Collin will be our new max (i hope). Davis/Morgan/Jones/Green/Josh off the bench will be nice. Not sure about Gelon in the roation, we shall see. Need to focus on getting Byrant touches, he didn't get enough last year. But when he did get the ball, he was pretty effective (UK game) Crimson and Cream and colonel06 2 Quote

Put Collin back in the starting lineup; he provides good post passing, court sense, leadership, and outside shooting. Hoosiers219, ALASKA HOOSIER, HoosierAloha and 2 others 5 Quote

HoosierAloha Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 RoJo/Newkirk Blackmon/Jones Anunoby/Green (Assuming he'll get some PT) Davis/Hartman Bryant/Morgan Top 10 next season? Why does everyone assume Davis will start and Hartman will be coming off the bench? I don't see two sophomores and a frosh starting in the frontline. RoJo/Newkirk/Green JBJ/CuJo Troy (OG)/OG/Gelon Hartman/Morgan Bryant/Davis *obviously assuming MSB decides he doesn't want to start again. Alford Bailey Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 With so many key and appreciating parts of this roster returning next year we should be a title contender. Like I said in another thread reminds me of 91-92 and 92-93 where we lost a couple of key players but the team as a whole got better. Should be fun. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
