IU "Screw" Kentucky Post Game Victory Thread

Recommended Posts

I respect Poythress, at least he stayed 4 years.

All joking aside, having vanquished a hated rival, it was a damn good game. I felt all along in the game that both teams were forcing the other team to work hard to make anything happen on offense. If UK had had anybody step up big to help Ulis, it might have been a different outcome. It's not WatShot classic, but its a good piece of IU BKB history.

Just whipped up this little diddy.

I think this would be more apropos if I thought UK's players were actually sad about losing. I don't mean to say they weren't disappointed, of course they were. But it seems to me that a player who's main objective is to use that program as a stepping stone to the NBA, is less likely to give a sh*t about a loss, and in the bigger picture, it puts them one day closer to a paycheck. Well, seeing as this is Kentucky we're talking about, a "legitimate" paycheck.

If you haven't seen the players interviewed in the locker room after the game check it out.

They might be knuckleheads sometimes and we get on them for missing a play but they represent IU well.  None of them dogged on ky or their players.  I'm happy to see how much this team has grown and come closer together as a family.

#5 seed IU crushes Chattanooga and then knocks off #4 pUKe to advance to the Sweet 16. In the meantime, the IU women knock off Georgia for the IU women's first NCAA tournament victory since 1983. Absolutely shocking when everyone knows we're a football school.

And water polo won too!

Woke up this morning still fired up over this win and the possibilities of next Friday. If someone would've asked "will you be ok with IU laying an egg in the first game of the B1G tournament but then beat UK to go to the Sweet 16?", I would take the B1G egg any day

you got to love the ups and downs of college basketball. Last week there were some saying Purdue was the 2nd best team in the B1G after their impressive showing in tournament in Indy and they might of been right. Fast forward a week and Purdue probably looked like the 6th best team. I know their are different views on conference tournaments but in my opinion 2 teams that benefitted from an early exit last week were Duke and iu. On the other side of the arguement Kansas and North Carolina benefitted from keeping the momentum rolling

good point here. Purdue and MSU losing was really shocking. Both great teams. Lost to much lesser teams. Not taking them serious? Purdue took foot of pedal and dude got hot. Glad we are in the position we are in.
