There are a couple things about this IU team that give me hope in the region..

 

- Every player on the floor is dangerous from 3

- Senior All-American PG (and guards win championships)

- Serviceable big man who can hit shots

- Above average bench (8-9 deep)

- This team plays defense

Playing defense better admittedly. Michigan game showed relapses of wide open layups. We must tighten that up. No excuses on miss assignments under the basket.

Listened to scum Pitino on the radio today. He ripped on Calipari and pissed off UK fans. The reason I bring him up is he said in a tournament setting they specifically prepare for 1. How to defend team 1st. 2. What kind of traps and pressure they run 2nd 3. How to exploit other team and find areas to score 3rd and finally 4. Inbounds plays.

Thought that was interesting. First 3 seem like common sense. Final one was intriguing. Pitino is a trashy slimeball but he knows how to coach, no doubting that.

Janitorinthegym indicated that Rob was ready for the Michigan game. Calculated decision not to play him it seems. Didn't pay off then. Hopefully it pays off this week.

Looking forward to seeing Rob shake off any rust vs the Mocs.

I'm a little worried about their ability to get to the line. If we play the type of defense that we did vs Michigan, it might just be a first round exit. We have to avoid foul trouble. Troy can't get into foul trouble like he did last game. I'm very interested in seeing their press. 

 

They appear to be experienced. 29 Wins is no joke. There will be a 12-5 seed "upset" this year. I just hope we're not it. At least we're not playing Yale.
