Popular Post Stuhoo Posted March 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 12, 2016 I'm gonna post this, because I truly believe it: After seeing the evolution, depth, talent, and chemistry of this team, I believe that they are poised and ready for a deep, deep run. Going into the NCAA tournament they will be healthy, rested, ready, experienced, and excellent. Get ready Hoosier Nation - We are about to go a long, long way. Anything could happen, and I may be wrong, but I betcha I'm not. mamasa, ThompsonHoosier, hoosierfan6157 and 11 others 14 Quote
Trish Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Most confusing IU team i've ever watched. Could go to the final four, could lose next Friday night to chattanooga in Washington. Will be fun to watch, but yesterdays game surely didn't give me the best hope for the boys. We have to push the pace. When we play to the pace of other teams (slow) , we don't do so hot. southsidehoosier and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote
AKHoosier Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Love the enthusiasm! I agree with you, with one caveat - if Robert Johnson is ready to play. A deep run is contingent upon getting him back. Stuhoo and MadAboutIndiana 2 Quote
Bittersince87 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I already made arrangements to stay in bloomington when we make the final four. Seriously I did. That's how much talent they have if they play within themselves . waitingon6 and Bobman1 2 Quote

A deep run is contingent upon getting him back. If there's anything at all good about getting beat yesterday it's the extra days of recovery for Johnson and Morgan and not having to play hard in a competitive game. I wasn't able to watch the game but also heard Hartman may have been injured so the same would apply to a recovery for Colin. AKHoosier 1 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Hartman kept his right hand as a fist after the fall. Wonder about anything from nerve type injury resulting in numb arm/hand to shoulder/collar bone type injury. Just plain didn't look right at all. Well wishes to CH. all heart. HoosierSadaseci Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 This team can beat anyone. Unfortunately they have shown that they can also lose to about anyone. southsidehoosier, theriverpilot and Class of '66 Old Fart 3 Quote

MadAboutIndiana Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Never said that. It's just unacceptable for the only constant in this program to be inconsistency. It's not Crean's fault IU had poor leadership at the university and atheistic dept level for years and years Quote
Yogi'sBicep Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 When I saw we lost after work yesterday, I was mad. That being said, after I cooled down I realized it could be beneficial to us; we have three players who NEED a little time off before we start playing again. Now, we'll have FRESH legs for the tourney. I'm not saying B1G tourney doesn't matter, but I'd rather lose 1 game there then in NCAA. Get well RoJo, Juwan, Collin. lillurk, hoosierfan6157 and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
Feathery Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Crean needs a run. He needs to put the struggles behind him. He has the team and there isn't a dominant team out there. This team could win it all or get beat in its opening game. I just hope it's an elite 8 or better. That would put to rest the negativity. If it's another Sweet 16 after an outright championship, then we have a Steve Lavin/UCLA type situation. johnsoniu and 8bucks 2 Quote

DChoosier Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Except for us it's every year Except for us it's every year . It is pretty much just us. I looked it up and besides IU the favorite has won every single game in the past 6 years. Pretty amazing stat. Quote
Trish Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 My crazy opinion for the day. I think this team might be better than our #1 team a couple years ago. Why? We are more athletic, we are deeper, we are very efficient when we run OUR style of play. We rebound very well and our defense is pretty dang good. That is when we are playing our best, aka , at Assembly Hall. If we can do that, we can go on a run. Now we had some better players on our number 1 team, but our bench was not very good and we weren't as athletic as we are now. Just my crazy thought. If we REVERT to yesterday's performance , which look like Maui , then we won't be going very far. Defenserocks28 and thebigweave 2 Quote
Miller'sTheMan Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I also truly believe this team is set for a deep run. I think we need to start giving Anunoby more minutes, when he's on the court good things happen. Alford Bailey 1 Quote
