Sorry, I'm just seeing that in the other thread. Maybe talking in absolutes was misguided. Here's what I know...

I can say that I've heard (at the HSBB level) IU is prioritizing RL as the headliner for the event.

I can say Tim Langford was consulted on the date before it was finalized.

I know from past experience, it's pretty common to have and schedule around one recruit and work from there.

Like I said, I knew the date was set quite a bit in advance of the release but I wasn't privy to the actual date. So pretty confident in that, but I assume it's possible the staff picked a day they didn't expect RL to visit.

IF Romeo and Garland both visit for HH that will be HUGE. Idk what anyone is talking about banking a scholly if we get Romeo. Garland is not a kid you turn away. It is possible his scholly opens up for 19 too anyways.

The fact that IU is still recruiting Garland and Devoe. Tells me that either Green, Jones, or Durham will be going pro or transferring after this year. I would be leaning towards a transfer.

He has already oversigned once by keeping all our recruits. That "worked itself out". Now he's looking for 2 more. I don't necessarily have a problem with it, I think it's a factor in big time basketball. I just know some fans get all upset about it.

Eric Bossi dropped some solid news today that he's hearing IU has made up ground on Garland.  He rarely pops in like that, so there has to be some pretty credible recent developments on that front.

I really hope we get confirmation of a visit soon.

Phinisee doesn't impact Garland. Garland is a day 1 starter for 1 or 2 years max. Phinisee is a 4 year guy that probably doesn't start until year 3 at the earliest.
