Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners That's good news: Romeo ain't gonna end up at Purdoo or Arizona, and therefore maybe Sean can put in good word for his brother! In all seriousness, I am reasonably certain that the Langfords are going to have a level-headed, real handle on the entirety of Romeo's situation. He may end up at UK, UNC, IU, or who-knows where, but I'm very convinced that it will be with a full sense of the plusses and minuses of each, and that there will be no heavy-sell by Calipari that will change that decision equation. Think you might get a better consensus if it were from the pro ranks. Not necessarily a head coach, but a long time assistant would be better than giving any college coach a recruiting leg up. I was initially thinking of just taking college coaches, of any kind, out of the equation. I hadn't thought it fully through. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote

I'd like to think that, but a heavy sell by pUKe usually involves a few (or several) 0s and for an 18 year old that could be pretty enticing. Quote

I would agree with this, other than it might be the soft sell, relationship building that gives UK a leg up. If he doesn't choose UK it's mute, but if he does? Who knows? Quote

Cal has got it figured out by coaching these kids and it pays off. He could be off on his own island yet he's putting in the time. Then comes the bag man and it's easy to understand why he gets these players. Arch needs to recruit mom; that's how he will succeed. Hoosierfan2017, Hardwood83 and MikeRoberts 3 Quote

Hovadipo Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 With how the new staff is stressing social media, Twitter follows probably won't be an indication of much of anything from now on. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

He only follows 9 recruits (plus Keion Brooks' mom). I don't think an Archie follow is insignificant. At the very least, it's an indicator of priority recruits. schoosier 1 Quote
