I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he announces at the McDonalds game. I had heard he would be announcing on ESPN at some point. I thought that would have been at a showcase game though. I guess we'll see. It would be sweet to see him announce for IU at the McDonald's game.

Blackmon has been the only one to announce for IU on ESPN for awhile no?

Didn't Thomas Bryant announce on ESPN during their HS National tournament? I can't remember exactly...

You are correct sir, TB announced at Madison Square Garden during ESPN's telecast of the Dick's Sporting Goods National High School Championship

Not necessarily asking you specifically, just using your post as a jumping off point.
Why is it so hard for him to say no to Garland, yet everyone thinks saying no to Indiana (fans, program, homestate kid, etc.) is so easy? We've seen brothers play at different schools at the same time, I just don't understand this overwhelming pull everyone thinks Garland has over Langford?

I've never understand it either. People act like alpha dog garland is his puppet master who tells him what to do. Isn't alpha dog garland a ball hog anyway? I get the feeling Romeo would be 2nd fiddle to the alpha dog in vandys amazing gym!

Romeo would absolutely be second fiddle because Garland is the hometown kid. Romeo would be the man at IU

I think this mostly is the chatter that was created by Vanderbilt that had been going on for awhile. I think Indiana has a better shot now. Living in New Albany I can tell you this is partly bias by KS TV. This is trash talk bias from a trash network that represents a trash fan base. Listening to Matt Jones is a leading cause of cancer.

That was rich.  Circular reasoning is circular.  Total inconsistency.  Seems like his biggest argument is that he'll get the most exposure at Vanderbilt.  That's the easiest point to disprove!  By the time he said Memorial Hall can equal the atmosphere at Assembly Hall or Phog Allen, he was done.  Dude, Romeo has already heard 14,000 Hoosiers cheer his name at HH, and then again during the Northwestern game.  He sees greater fanbases at his high school games than what Vandy brings.  The whole article was written like a freshman's two page essay.

Vanderbilt is going to be in for a rude awakening next year.  Two or three poorly coached freshmen--even talented ones--can't do much against a well coached Power 5 team.

And one of those freshmen playing on what very well could be a recently repaired ACL.

Here, a current look at the power of Vanderbilt's AWESOME fanbase.  They are at their lowest home attendance in over 50 years, back when their attendance was lower because their gym capacity was lower.  And it's not just an issue this season, they've seen declining attendance before Bryce was hired to totally tank the program.

This idiot lost me when he tried to say that Bryce Drew was a better coach for Romeo than Archie.

He lost me when he said Blackmon was "elite" and the only got worse from there. Its one of those situations when you've dug yourself a hole and just need to stop. Nope, not this guy, he kept on digging and only looked dumber.
