So........when we land Romeo, and IF we keep Juwan, where do the preseason mags rank us in the B1G and nationally?

I say that because they'll drool all over Langford and a senior leader JMO

yep i bet we start preseason top 25 and then as the season goes on maybe keep creeping up the ranks. No reason we shouldn't finish top 3 in Big Ten if not win it. A Romeo type player is literally what we needed last year to be a really good team and win a handful more games, and then also: Phinisee, Romeo, Hunter, Anderson, Forrester > Newkirk, Johnson, Hartman, McSwain, Priller.

I still wouldn't mind a little reassurance from Chris007 in the morning. Just that those "KU staff is confident" rumblings from the weekend are nothing. Call it late night jitters.
I just talked to my old man and he assured me one again romeos going to iu. He has been saying this for six months and he is seldom wrong on his predictions. So I guess there is at.

I wouldn’t say I’m panicked, but to bite and answer your question, I think IU 2018-19 has a huge need for perimeter scoring/a lead guard/a starting two. Romeo seems a dazzling example of those things. Without him, next season has a pretty low ceiling: probably a bubble tourney team without much chance of a deep run.

With him (and Juwan back), IU seems like a B1G title contender and potentially an interesting tournament team.

While the long run (2019-20 and beyond) forecast may not change much regardless of his decision, we can be excited about having a team with the potential to live up to the Indiana standards we heard Archie and Fred Glass lay out just one offseason away, instead of two.

Good answer.  Probably the most reasonable one I could come up with.

Unfortunately I am going to be taking an Accounting final during the announcement tomorrow so I won't be able to watch it but you better believe the first thing I'm doing when I get out is checking this board and I better see 750 pages of absolute joy that Romeo is going to be a Hoosier!

He comes to Indiana we're the Big Ten favorite.  Or should be.

Lol no. He is not that sunshine pumping all the time. But I do recall he called Eric Gordon and Zeller to iu well in advance of the announcements. Obviously it's all I guess but he usually guesses right.

Or could it be he really isn't golfing all the time in Arizona and really is Hoosier guy. He's on the computer a alot when I visit supposedly working his stock accounts. Maybe it's just a cover!!!

is your old man Hoosier Guy??

IF we land Romeo and Morgan is back we are probably "others receiving votes" to start the season. We'll be projected to finish top 5 in the Big Ten (MSU, UM x2, pu)
