MoyeNeeded Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 I did not mention names nor add any pictures. All that I was doing was providing info and insight to rumors that was brought up on this thread numerous times. I agree that the photo was pushing the envelope a little far. The photo is public domain since it was posted on a social sights and local paper. We were just providing a few answers to the constant ebb and flow of this recruitment. Funny though, this info was the closest to any FACTS that has posted on this thread in 300 pages. At least it broke up the several pages of ridiculousness that was 'which state is more desirable, Kansas or Illinois'. But could you please list the posters here that 'are qualified' so we all know what information that we should take with a grain of salt. By the way, no person here knows what qualifications I do or do not hold. My parents sure do. All of our rivals are wishful thinking Langford to Vandy. They are nervous. Romeo may open the floodgates. I know Raekstraw a little bit and can tell you he is a fan of all college basketball and certainly does not hate IU (not a fan of team either). Just because he has some info that may or may not be correct doesn't mean he is ant-IU. He is a stand up guy and I believe him when he says he was told Romeo is going to Vandy. Doesn't mean its true or the person that gave him this is correct. He is just saying what he is being told which he is allowed to do. Doesn't mean he hates IU or wants him to stay down. Bailey7878 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 One thing to consider is even if Romeo is leaning toward Vandy, his father remains committed to taking one last visit to IU, so Archie will have a great opportunity to change Romeo’s mind. Dad seems convinced. It's mind boggling to me vandy would even be an option anymore after they had a year to watch drew coach. And if he is not that close to garland as some state what do they offer? Nothing.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk Quote

Bailey7878 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 At least his dad sees through Drew’s BS. Romeo’s reasoning may be as simple as wanting to play with Darius and liking Drew’s personality. Shallow reasons, but he is a teenager.I guess but I thought garland had no pull on him. It does not add up.Sent from my SM-J700T using Tapatalk chicagoHOOSIER 1 Quote

Popular Post IUrocker Posted March 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted March 14, 2018 Yep, just my opinion here, stepping back and looking at everything we’ve gotten as information up to this point, I’d like to think IU is the leader. Pushing things back until April isn’t a bad thing, he is just wanting to concentrate on winning state, and then getting all the all-star games done and over with. People can think it’s because he truly hasn’t made up his mind, and that very well could be, but I’m gonna go the other direction on that. I like knowing he’s going to announce AFTER playing the McDonald’s AA game instead of at it with Darius being present. He’s gonna be able to to announce and then sign his LOI right away without anyone else trying to get to him to change his mind. Also, Romeo’s father saying the announcement could be at his school or have the mayor included in the announcement is a huge deal. Everyone and their brother is gonna show up to that decked out in IU gear, only for him to say “going to Vandy”?... Ouch. I’d like to think that wouldn’t be the case. I could see the mayor rip off his suit and tie Superman style with an IU shirt underneath when they do the announcement, haha. I highly doubt Romeo’s father mentioning doing it at the school and with the mayor is just blowing smoke and trying to get IU fans to put 2 and 2 together and think “well heck yeah! He’s an IU graduate!! It’s gotta be IU then!” As far as Romeo making another visit to IU with his parents, it could indeed mean he needs pursuaded a bit more, but with all the info I’ve already mentioned, I can see it as a chance to look at the dorms, and meet with an academic advisor about what types of classes he would be taking. He may already know he wants to go to IU, so he wants to get all his ducks in a row and find out other information about the school other than playing basketball. I’ve also seen info in various places that lately during this recruitment, Phinisee has been in more contact with Romeo than what Darius has, which is awesome. (I have no sources on that, just passing on what I’ve seen other people say about it). All in all, it’s exciting times for sure, and even though we have a date of April 13-30 to rely on, most if not all of us will continue to check this thread every 5 minutes of every day to see what else has been said/heard, haha. Bigred3588 Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Does Romeo playing in the McD’s, Jordan, and Nike games prohibit him from playing in the Indiana/Kentucky game? IIRC, they can only play in 3 post-season games. Quote
Feathery Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 Looks like Vandy just lost a couple of players. This was not a making space move either. Anchor down. Bailey7878 1 Quote
