Bailey is being sarcastic. DM, on the other hand , has a track record of making wild predictions, full of hyperbole and sticking with them until the bitter end on numerous other sites. He seemingly intends for those predictions to be taken seriously but given that he has rarely , if ever, been correct I wouldn't taken them too seriously. 

I was being sarcastic on the concerning part but he is still solidly with his vandy prediction. I think he's riding it til the bitter end.

If the past is any indication, the bitter end is the minimum distance he will ride it. No amount of evidence to the contrary ever seems to sway him until the final results are known, sometimes not even then.

Not desperation in my opinion just insurance. The minute grimes committed to Kansas and Self had Dotson and MacCormack already in the fold (3 McDonald’s all Americans) getting Romeo would be the cherry on top but not necessary. Self has said in the past and I will paraphrase (in recruiting if you are hearing yes more than no then you are not recruiting good enough players).

I'll tell you what, this player Agbaji is listed as a 6'5", 195 lbs SG, and Romeo is listed at 6'5", 191. 

Agbaji might be the backup plan, but it seems that there is no strong confidence by KU for Romeo.
