You don't know the inner workings of the Langford family and those connected so don't pretend to. Not a knock but you don't. I don't care if you are a Neighbor or have a kid in school with Romeo, you still don't know either way, you don't, period

Again.. he isn't dirty. Neither is anyone around him.

Again, you aren't him nor his inner circle so you don't know.

He may not be but he brought doubt on himself with who he chose to dance with so you have your opinion and that is what it is, an opinion, you certainly don't know and neither do I nor anyone here.

Again, he has flirted with dirty birds throughout so to question is only obvious and normal and you cannot definitely end that with your outside opinion

Nah. Not me. With this coach, we don't need to cheat. If we have to pay Romeo to come here, I don't want him. We didn't have to pay the 4 good incoming recruits(At least to my knowledge) to come here.

There is absolutely no way we need anything dirty to get the 4 recruits we did this year. Certainly no one pays borderline top 100 players and even a fringe top 50 player like Hunter is unlikely to involve cash. Generally shadiness is reserved for the 5 stars and top 25-30 players sometimes but other times not (there is almost zero chance Yogi or Zeller took any money to come here).

I hope we can get Romeo clean but I am just saying I am OK just this once to funnel money to him just get the program going and then after that winning clean with mostly solid 4 star players moving forward as PU, Michigan Wisconsin etc have done.

Tom Izzo put it at 20% (or 4) of the top 20 kids get something. He then went on to get good, not great, classes for the next few years. He's had some really good recruits since that blew over. Although, I would bet MSU gives a little extra to players that return. Just a hunch.

I don't think you can call every top recruit dirty. However, whether people like it or not if your finalist are shady programs there'll always be doubt.

Romeo is an excellent player. I'd love for him and his family to join Hoosier nation. He's the type of recruit that could put a jolt in your program.

I saw on another site that there's a rumor on Peegs saying Romeo is going to announce on ESPN on Friday and him being at the game was to inform Archie of his decision. ...not sure whether there's truth, just sharing.

Makes a lot of sense really! I actually believe it.

I hope it's true then I can start dreaming up my lineups for next season, with or without him. Haha

I would love for him to be in candy stripes but not holding my breathe. He is an amazing talent and would solve a lot for us and while he might be a great kid, that doesn't mean his needs meet ours in every way and I won't hold that against Archie if we don't get him. Us missing on him doesn't mean the recruitment was dirty at all but based on the competition I will never rule it out

Not killing the messenger here, but am a little skeptical about the message. My take on this is if he were at AH tonight to tell Archie yay or nay, then was planning to announce on Friday -- there's no way that info doesn't get out until then. Because Archie's gonna tell his assistants that Romeo is or isn't coming. The assistant will tell someone else. Then someone else will tell someone else. And so on and so on. ... Same thing with telling Vandy or Kansas yes or no. If he has made a decision and has told anyone other than family, it will get out. And even then ...

I would say if he is planning on committing Friday then today may have been a visit to make sure he was 100% sold on IU. I don't see him telling anyone of his decision this far in advance as tight lipped as his family has been. I'm thinking it is but is this the only game for the three schools that he has attended so far?

Let's just hope the Vandy train wreck this season makes it a "victory lap" :)  In all honesty we do have some great young talent coming in that hopefully is appealing to Romeo.  Our luck HAS to change eventually.

As a whole I would take the talent we have coming in over what Vandy has coming in.

Vandy has the flashy pieces with two top 10 recruits, while we have five 4 stars (including Race). However, Shittu just messed up his knee and has already stated that he plans on being a one and done. He's going to want his share of the spotlight. Same with Garland. If Romeo comes here he will have quality teammates but he will be the clear cut #1 guy.

I see it coming down to us or Kansas, and I give Kansas the slight advantage. Either way I hope the rumor is true so we get an answer one way or another.

Who made the rumor?

Vandy offers nothing other then a half filled gym accepts when Kentucky comes to town.
