It's the greatest recruiting haul in history if they get Romeo for a non bball school. Arizona could no longer pony up for shittu so in comes vandy. At this point I would not be surprised if romeo pops for them in the next two weeks and drew becomes a recruiting legend

The No. 5 player in the 2018 ESPN 100, Langford recently cut his list to Indiana, Kansas and Vanderbilt and plans to sign in the spring.“We want to look at each school a little bit more, see the coaching style a little bit, how they’re doing with their team and go from there,” Tim said.Tim broke down each school on the podcast. 

Indiana: “Well, first of all he’s homegrown and making history by staying at home and going to IU. And also we like the style of offense that [Coach] Archie Miller has. They brought the one they had from  Dayton, he brought that to Indiana. So we like that, but we still want to see a bit more and also get to know the coaching staff a little bit more, too.” 

Kansas: “Speaking of Kansas, we like Coach [Bill] Self as a coach and we also like the program. We like their staff. He already mentioned that they were going to try to get those two guys [Devon Dotson and Quentin Grimes], they finally got Grimes. He was talking about doing a three-way offense for his guards and having Romeo, Grimes and Dotson take the ball up and down the court, so we don’t see any problem with that.” 

Vanderbilt: “Coach [Bryce] Drew for one played NBA ball for five or six years and his style of offense, Romeo can see himself fitting in that style of offense. But we like that program and the coaching staff also.” 

As for the plan going forward, Tim said they hope to take a few visits during the season.“We’re going to see if we can fit them into his schedule,” Tim said. “We want to try to get down there and watch Vanderbilt play a home game if we can fit it into our schedule and also go to IU and watch them. As far as Kansas, we don’t know how close they’ll get to us so we don’t know if we can make that trip.”

The Garland get for Vandy wasn't fishy one bit. Long standing relationship and close to home. Now Shittu is a different story. They very well may have got him fair and square but man does it seem weird. With all the FBI stuff going on for their fans sake I hope they are doing it the right way. Bryce doesn't give off the same vibe that big bro does though.

Except Ohio State had a pretty good bball history. Vandy does not. It's very fishy but given how incompetent the ncaa is they know that if they used shady tactics they will never get punished.

Like you said, the Garland get makes complete sense. While we all would have loved him at IU, staying home is something some guys want, even 5*'s. 

With that said, if Vandy lands the trio of Garland, Shittu and Langford, then I'm firmly in the "shady" camp. That's a UK/Duke type class at feaking Vanderbilt. I don't care if Bryce Drew played a few years in the NBA, he's never coached a 5* at any level and has never (as far as I know) put a kid in the NBA, and now he's landing 3 top 10 players at Vanderbilt?!?!

If it happens, it might literally be the greatest recruiting haul, given the coach/school, in the history of college basketball. Definitely fishy IMO.

It's not complicated.  There is a hometown 5 star in Garland who was always going to stay home.  He's also an alpha dog and got in the ear of Shittu and Romeo long ago.  Drew got lucky this year and it remains to be seen if he can keep this streak up but barring a miracle Vandy is hitting the trifecta.

It's not complicated.  There is a hometown 5 star in Garland who was always going to stay home.  He's also an alpha dog and got in the ear of Shittu and Romeo long ago.  Drew got lucky this year and it remains to be seen if he can keep this streak up but barring a miracle Vandy is hitting the trifecta. 

Say what you want I think it's fishy. So my question was when is Romeo pulling the trigger? You did not answer that
