I hesitate to post anything because this still could go till the spring. I know some will see that as an "out" but it's a reality in my world- recruitments change. Anyway, I continue to hear how sold the family is on Archie. I think RL is IU bound.

Now, I thought the same about this time with Kris Wilkes. I don't think I had bad info there. I just think UCLA was able to seal the deal on the visit. It went like this...End of Sept IU OV, Crean got him back mid-Oct for an UV, then to UCLA a few days later for an OV. After that visit, I knew things were not in good shape. Wilkes was buying into their message of what Los Angelas could provide for him year round and going there, seeing it, sealed it. I didn't know realize how close UCLA had gotten that summer and early fall.

Could I be wrong? Sure. Could KU be Wilkes' UCLA? I guess. The difference here is Romeo has taken his officials and people still aren't changing what they're saying about Romeo. The Langford's don't let a ton out which has led to a lot of speculation/rumors in NA, but one thing has been consistent out of that town since Archie took over...

I’ve been confident this whole time but still good to hear. I’m thinking he’ll commit next week

As wonderful a player as Darius Garland is, with the apparent drastic leadership and point guard improvement of DeVonte Green, Romeo has truly turned into the prize catch for IU in my opinion.

I’ve been on record saying Romeo is the more important recruit. That’s because he’s nationally ranked and he’s from the state. Recruiting this state is so important

They must think a decision is soon. Why would Kansas do a home visit right after an official one? One last push for him.

It also shows that he is still in play. Why else make the visit. I laugh at those on here suggesting this is just desperation. What will it be when Archie visits as well.

I think we get him at IU but he is still in play.

Every recruit is technically still in play until they sign. Some are still in play after announcing.. cough, Terrance Jones, cough

At least in basketball, the vast majority of verbal commitments are honored unlike football where a verbal commitment is almost meaningless especially if you're the first school to get a verbal from a kid.

i hope this ends up like the way it is sounding. only time will tell....hope not too much time though. im ready either way.
and i love this board as well! i have a few family members that like indiana basketball but not the way i like it. i am the only one that follows year round and it bothers if i miss a game. its nice to have like minded people to chat with. always lived in ohio but raised a hoosier. you can thank my parents for that

Same. Growing up in Ohio living with buckeyes fans was awful. Only thing worse us now living in Kentucky with UK and Louisville fans
