(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

That's how he got the info about Crean talking with Langford and Scruggs. He saw a tweet.

Also the guy on the Purdue board claimed Crean said he would build the offense around Langford which gotta think a coach who consistently has a top 10 offense saying that is a big deal.

He scored 46 points and yet I never got the sense that he was a ball hog like you see with a lot of high scoring high school players. Nothing forced and passed to a team mate if it wasnt there. Special talent. I guess the question now is does he stay at New Albany?

I read last week that his parents promised he would stay at New Albany for his career.

Yeah there was definitely speculation that he would go prep but they've come out to shoot those rumors down. I'm going with what him and people close to him (parents, teachers, etc) are saying.

While perusing the Rupp Rafters site, I notice they have a thread dedicated to Romeo Langford already too. Their insiders ( I know) are saying he and his family are all Duke. Said if Duke offer comes he is gone. Their insiders could be BTB. Who knows. Anyway, this kid is special and we will be recruiting against everyone for him.

Crean needs to make this kid priority #1.  And Robert Phinessy (sp) from McCutcheon a close second.   Every coach needs to tell Langford there's no way Pitino will be there in 4 years.   He may be, but with all the crap going on down there??   I think I'd be at every game I could, just to watch him.   He's as good as there is in our state right now.

New Albany wins state.Langford with slow start but big second half.Crean and Painter both there . Phinesee has great court vision and is quick.Needs to get stronger but will.In Purdues back yard so it'll l be a battlle for his services I would imagine, but we need to go all out on him.

Crean, Cal, Painter and Holtmann were all there. Crean/Cal sat together for some of it
