Not everyone here likes Crean.  I've been about as vocal as anyone in how I feel about him.  I loved the hire at first, but he's lost me gradually then I actually took a look at his resume when he was hired and wasn't very impressed.  He's a wildly mediocre coach, his track record of 16 years proves it, it just so happens he's a great salesman and could sell ice to an eskimo.  IU can do better, IU should do better, and we need to stop lowering the bar just to avoid admitting that Crean isn't good enough and that the administration botched another hire; we should expect more, we should stop making excuses, we should stop resorting to "well, we could do worse" as some sort of defense, we should hold him accountable for HIS program.

 

There are other threads for our feelings on Crean, and I've been as guilty as anyone of devolving threads with our feelings on our coach.

Tan doesn't hurt but my pasty whiteness has certainly not had much of an impact when I'm out talent scouting and bringing home a new recruit

Walmart Hoosier is a takeoff of Walmart Wolverine which is tossed around here and describes a U of M fan who never went to University of Michigan. I am an IU alum living in Ann Arbor .

Since when do you have to be an alumni to be a fan? Does that make alumni better fans somehow? I went to Ball State because it better pertained to my degree. Grew up an IU fan, both my parents attended. I always find it funny how some think you have to attend a school to be a fan,
