WayneFleekHoosier Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Watched late after work... What a horrible game... For a win it was very hard to watch AGAIN.... Was so happy and excited to watch a game without JBJ... Unfortunately Yogi did his best impersonation today... He was all about Yogi over the team and looked lost on defense half the time (which admittedly is only half as often as JBJ). Collin players a great game today, hitting the early 3s was huge, he is the only guy that passes the ball into the post on a consistent basis. He looks for post feeds like others look for 3s. Max played a great all around game today as well. NZ3 wasn't hitting but played with heart, OG, Juwan, Burton all played well in limited minutes.pretty good summary. Shocking how we have perpetually looked awful all season, still 11-3. Really haven't beaten anyone worthwhile (ND lone exception and they aren't great either) and looked bad beating bad teams. 1 of 2 things will happen when we play real teams again. Looking forward to finding out. Stuhoo and GloryDays 2 Quote

ALASKA HOOSIER Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 That was ridiculous! Just watched the first half and turned it off. I can't believe this crap we are putting on the court. Found out how we really did with these posts. Are you kidding me? 23 turnovers? I want to throw up Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 23 TURNOVERS against a CUPCAKE---sounds like the menu of a BAKERY! Sorry--trying to inject a little humor (albeit poor) about a less than inspiring performance. scots07, Naturalhoosier and Class of '66 Old Fart 3 Quote
bleedhoosier Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 That's just Tom Crean teams for whatever reason. Most of the time, they just play to their competition. It's been like that for a few years. A few games stand out against this but last nights game is the norm. Quote
mdn82 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 True... but the part about Rutgers being a tough opponent was, at least, a tremendous reach.I agree with that. Quote

Trish Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Yesterday was the same stuff we've been seeing for year. While most of our players had bad games yesterday, we showed zero improvement on defense. If their PG wouldn't have missed so many lay ups, the fire tom crean thread would be trending on Twitter right now. We have Nebraska up next on the road. They are right there in the right for the bottom of the B1G. Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 True... but the part about Rutgers being a tough opponent was, at least, a tremendous reach. Every coach in America says the team they played was "tough" or some other coach speak complimenting their opponent. It's a respect thing. IUsafety 1 Quote

MartintheMopMan Posted December 31, 2015 Author Posted December 31, 2015 Could he attain employment at near his fair market value at that? Yes. That would count. Though, that isn't the language in the contract. It's just "a comparable position", it's always "comparable position". Comparable position has a well-established meaning through common law making it a useful tool in these situations. I know it was a joke, but you know, to make the joke more accurate next time. Obtain too. Str8Hoosiers 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 On the road and only got to watch the last 3 minutes and just now reading this thread. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't waste 2 hours of my life watching it. I don't see how we can be a major factor in the B1G this season even though as a whole the league is down. We play crappy basketball and that's all there is to it. TB had his first game with serious foul trouble and that's going to happen more now that the real season has started. The TO's - what is left to say? Not allowing points in the paint - what is left to say? There's no improvement in the overall level of team play from last season and if not by now, there ain't gonna be. I hate to see us lose ball games, but if losing the majority of our B1G games would guarantee a coaching change, well.............. AZ Hoosier 1 Quote

We have an easy schedule and can probably play crap ball and still win many games. Blackmon injury will be the excuse if he is out extended time as well. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote

Hoosiers219 Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 On another note, IU v. Rutgers on BTN at 3:00 CST, while the following games are on the ESPN family of networks at the same time: Tulsa @ Cincinnati TCU @ Oklahoma MSU @ Minnesota transitioning to Notre Dame @ Virginia As a lifelong fan, seems like IU doesn't get the love from ESPN. BTN is a bit lame in my estimation. Is this A scheduling thing that I'm not privy to or are we just not getting any love from the major sports networks.? Quote
