Feathery Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I think you are forgetting the front court of Zeller/Warford as being the best. We will have a drop off next season bc of the caliber of players we will lose/likely lose. Even if we land some more quality talent we will be losing veteran talent in Yogi and likely Troy and getting freshmen. I do agree reloading allows for consistency and I hope we have a good year and land some more talent. Go Hoosiers. Hoosiers219 1 Quote

Hoosiers219 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Better than Zeller and Watford? Admittedly, I may have been a little overzealous. However, I believe that DD and Bryant cumulatively can be better than Zeller and Watford., although Zeller would obviously be the best of the 4. I'm sure reasonable and less than reasonable minds would differ. However, I stand by my position. jkhughes_47635, Bobman1 and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
Walking Boot of Doom Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Until we see him play, it's completely plausible that a sophomore Bryant is better than sophomore Zeller. Don't know if a freshman Davis beats out senior Watford though. Regardless, this is really going to help spring recruiting. JaybobHoosier, Lt. John McClaine, Bobman1 and 1 other 4 Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Adidas Gauntlet Orlando: (May 23rd-26th, 2014) He has a great touch, soft hands and a great feel for playing the game. He can score on all three levels on the floor. He has a punishing body and knows how to use it on the low block. He can finish with either hand around the rim. Rebounds the ball well on both ends and runs the court well for a player his size. Overall, he is the total package on both ends of floor. JustToArgue, Crimson and Cream, lillurk and 4 others 7 Quote
Popular Post WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 12, 2015 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2015 NBA Top 100 Camp: (June 18th-21st, 2014) The 6-foot-8 power forward continues to validate our high ranking of him. He was abusing defending post players with his versatility on the floor, scoring from the post all the way out to the three-point line. He ran the floor extremely well and finished a few plays with big dunks. ALASKA HOOSIER, Crimson and Cream, Napleshoosier and 6 others 9 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Gauntlet 2015: “Power forward De’Ron Davis — possibly the best prep hoops product to come through the state of Colorado in the past 20 years — stood out while playing with his Colorado Hawks team. On the weekend, the 6-9 forward averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 blocks, showing off his diverse skill set. He was offered by Shaka Smart and Texas over the weekend, and already holds offers from the likes of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado and Indiana. Kentucky head coach John Calipari was spotted at one of his games on Saturday as well.” IUsafety, Class of '66 Old Fart, lillurk and 2 others 5 Quote
rebelhoosier848891 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Davis is the ONE many of us felt we had to get to cement a solid recruiting class. Now we can work on moving the class from very good to stinkin" awesome! The thoughts of him teaming up with a sophomore Bryant on the front line=PUNISHING! Agree that this will be a shot in the arm re: recruiting when coupled with wins. I don't believe a sophomore Bryant is better than zeller, but I do believe that the combination of Bryant and Davis will be a legitimate powerhouse. One that will actually be more daunting, if not more lauded than Watford/Zeller. If it were not for "the shot", how many people wished that Watford would be more physical and attack the tin with more ferocity? Zeller and Watford were special. I loved watching them. Thomas Bryant and DD are different. It will be interesting to see how Crean fills in the 1-3 around them. Bobman1, Lt. John McClaine and HoosierAloha 3 Quote
