Dont think Crean could win it with Lebron. If he did still jump to Stevens. Basically a Tubby Smith situation. Fan base wants him gone no matter a banner. Now if he won multiples.....have to think about it.

I'm not concerned about next year I'm more worried about 2016-2017 if Crean is to stay. Bottom line the off court stuff has to end AND both the floor and ceiling needs to rise.

Tom couldn't get it done with the #2 & #4 picks in the draft as well as 2 other Pros in the starting lineup 3 if you count Yogi plus 1 Pro coming off the bench.

 

Not sure if Any 2 players on our team even with Thon & Bryant will be the #2 & #4 picks in the draft in 2016. So I would bet against this happening.

If he lands both and wins a title he stays. You don't get rid of a ncaa winning coach immediately after he wins it all. i would also think winning a title would help spur recruiting to a higher level. In turn we could potentially get that sustained success we all have been wanting.

If things drop down to where we have been the last 2 years after winning a title, then he needs to go and we need Bread Stevens. Ultimately, Crean isn't good enough to win a title and all this talk is just that talk. Fire him for Stevens anytime STEVENS is ready.

If by 'nearly' you mean he made a Final Four. They got massacred in that game though. Syracuse and that zone (why does this seem familiar? All well) amounted to a total blow out.
