2015 Transfers and Early Entries

Recommended Posts

University of Kentucky has scheduled a news conference for 2:30 Thursday for players to announce their decisions per BBN facebook . Potential for seven to enter the draft and rumors Willis may transfer. Ulis and Lee are the only one for sure back next year.

All kidding aside, it must suck for that fanbase to have a series of one-season stands with their players. I know they win a lot, but they win with players that never have the time to develop a cemented connection to the university, its students, or the fanbase.

I'll be honest and admit that I don't feel the same way about Eric Gordon, Noah and Cody that I do about Vic, Jordan, Derek and Verdell.  The latter 4 I've tried to keep close tabs on their careers after candystripes but I really don't follow the first 3 that closely and I think it relates to the lack of a 'cemented connection' because they were on campus for only 1 or 2 years.  Am I the Lone Ranger in this regard?

People think Roster turnover is a "Crean problem." Looks a issue all over the country. We are probably too hard on Crean.

I've often used the word epidemic to describe what happens at the end of each season and I'll bet we don't hear of more than 2/3 of the transfers that take place if that many.  But are we too hard on Crean?  Nah!

Yea, I've discussed this at length with some older UK fans. They want to win but know deep down there is something almost weird about Cal and the constant turnover.

If they lose 7 or 8 players will Kentucky realistically be able to replace them with an equally talented squad? I feel like they will revert back to how they did the year Nerlens Noel was there and they missed the tourney

I agree. Cal will bring in another top class but they wont be near as good as this years group.

I agree with you and feel the same way but I disagree with Cody. Why is it different with him? Is it bc he was here 2 years instead of 1? Or was landing him at that particular time so huge for this program? Maybe it's a little of both, idk
