Potential fallout from coaching change

Recommended Posts

An AD comes out and says these thing before a season starts or maybe during a rough patch at in the middle of the season.. . It would be odd to say them three weeks before you can him.

Glass may not have the final say.  Hypothetically if the decision to get rid of Crean came from people higher up then Glass would have no choice but to go along, it wouldn't be smart on his part.

One thing I can't stand seeing on this site are people wishing we lose. I will never wish that on anybody that has dedicated themselves to playing for Indiana. I don't care what the temperature is nobody deserves that kind of remark.

I think most people are afraid that if he finds a way to back his way into the NCAAT that there will be no change and we will be in store for atleast 1 more year of this if not more.

Glass gets rid of him or Glass goes himself...This is really over!

I think everybody knows "it's over" but how's it gonna end? Will it end in three weeks or end in a year and three weeks? If you give him another year then next year will be absolutely unbearable as a fan and we'll be wasting everybody's time. But there's no getting momentum back now.

"Unbearable" being the key word there.

I still think its funny that people believe what Glass thinks really matters. If the higher ups want Crean gone then he is gone and there isn't anything Glass can do about it.

I don't think people understand the culture of the IU administration. Basketball is not their highest priority and only a few give a rip whether we're winning NC or not. They just recently gave Glass a huge vote of confidence. What do people expect? An Australian president to lay down the law because we aren't contending? I just don't think "those " people are there anymore. As long as the program is making money most of them are fine.

You're going to believe what you want to believe and nothing I say will change that.

The search starts and ends with your avatar, bro. Offer whatever it takes.

. Agreed. Here's to hoping that Brad still has that love and passion for Indiana Basketball that he once had. Hopefully he hears us loud and clear. After Sampson we all wondered who could save Indiana Basketball. Then we shifted to being hopeful after the unexpected Crean hiring. This time around, the fanbase is almost unanimous in knowing who they want. Glass is truly at a fork in the road. Both routes have very clear outcomes. Become a legend at your alma mater or become one of the most hated men in the state.

Admittedly, I was reaching for the razor blades this morning, and was perfectly prepared to slit my wrists, when it occurred to me that perhaps Fred was right, and perhaps what Fred said, mattered. I mean really, why slit one's wrists over such an incompetent boob as Tom Crean and his merry little band of defenseless midgets? Fred's right. We should all just take a deep breath, and find some other pursuit whilst he diddles around with the program. Fred knows what he's doing, about as much as Stevie Wonder does with a Light Brite set.

I hope you're right, bro. But my gut tells me we have another year with this stuff. If we're half full 4 minute before tip in what was arguably the biggest game of the year, imagine next year...

I still hold on to the glimmer of hope that you are wrong but my gut tells me you are right .
