i would love that with Juwan and Holt or DD backing them up. Play Troy at the 3 with some Max and OG mixed in. Then let Rob, Blackmon, Yogi, and Z man the 1 and 2. Sounds pretty good (assuming minutes and subs allocated properly)

 

Hartman at the 3 too.  That would give us 3 shooters and 2 bigs.

I am a lot more confident in Bryant to IU than I am Thon Maker, but I would welcome either and take them both!

 

I think Syracuse is out of the picture with Thomas and pUKe seems to be who people worry about with Thon, but we'd be pretty darn good with him. Cody and Noah got to the NBA through Indiana just fine

The few times the cameras panned IU's bench Thomas looked engaged in the action.

Could be a good sign.The other thing is he very likely could a 2 year player.

How?  Wouldn't they have to clean house to bring him in?  I thought they could honor their current commits but would have to drop down to 10 scholarships if they were to sign TB.

Something with the wording of when scholarships were lost vs financial arrangements.  I didn't get too in-depth, just wanted to get the feel for their fan base :)  Most of their forums spiral out of control (lol) into a coaching bash/support group.

I've posted a couple of times before about how much I love this kid's game. Think he's perfect for us. Quick story about him:
Was at the Marshall Coounty Hoopfest in December and Huntington is playing Arlington Country Day, which has a really nice team. Huntington jumps on them early and is up DD. Huntington plays a couple of really sloppy minutes and lets them back in it. Coach calls TO. The five on the floor never made it to the bench. Bryant pulls them into a circle at the free throw line and and just lays into them for lack of effort. Loud enough that half the gym could hear it. Looking every kid in the circle dead in the eye and is lighting them up. And every kid in the circle, Jones, Bridges, Levi Cook and Jon Kabongo, never took their eyes off of him. There was no question, none, who the leader of that team was. Absolutely floored me. Kid is just a bada** competitor. Sets a completely different tone than what we're used to seeing on the floor. Huntington won the game by 8.

He sounds like the perfect kid we need with this team.  There is plenty of talent on the team but I've yet to see one player step up and demand his teammates to focus, compete, and play better.  I would love to see a frosh Bryant lead this team.  I love to see us land him.

It's ultimately the kid's decision. I hope Thomas and mom both realize that at some point.
