Somewhat, but not really. Schertz is younger, ascending rapidly and Depaul feels like an infinitely more abysmal situation than IUFB which is a last (?) stop, lotto ticket type job for Cig. If it doesn’t work out for him, he rides off into the sunset with generational wealth. If he succeeds here, he gets all of that plus the admiration of a gigantic fanbase and maybe even a shot at a “big” job if he wants it. Schertz would very likely derail his rapid ascension at a program going nowhere fast.

I liked how ESPN's headline when the rankings updated yesterday was "Arizona takes Purdue's top spot," as if it was somehow surprising or that spot exclusively belonged to Purdue.
