They’re 1/2 or 3/4 fronting him and bringing a double around to the ball side when he catches with his back to the basket. FDU had a guy standing at his belt buckle and brought the double behind him when he caught, which he didn’t nearly as often. Also, since Ware is crap at boxing out, might as well front with Ware and let him try to out jump Edey going toward the rim for rebounds. Quote

They full fronted a couple possessions right before I posted that, got steals off of it, then totally went away from it. Why Shaka whyyyy Stuhoo 1 Quote
Hovadipo Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Man, I did not have “Edey sealing it with 2 offensive boards without getting close to fouling” on my bingo card. Quote
Home Jersey Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Man, I understand not using a timeout when you have a chance to go get a transition bucket in the final seconds. But when the other team is already able to get set up in a halfcourt D, or you just grab that final rebound with a chance to win on a 3 point shot.... and the coach doesn't use their timeout (Shaka had 2 left)... what are you saving them for?! thebigweave, OliviaPope40 and FortWayneHoosier 3 Quote

LamarCheeks Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Shaka shoulda taken a timeout, but I think that poor kid kinda panicked. They had time to get a better shot than a heave from 10 feet behind the 3-point line. Home Jersey 1 Quote

He couldn’t make the final four with 6, 1000 point scorers. There are many aspects to coaching. Some Crean was good at, others he wasn't. He was good at individual player development. He also had some very efficient offenses. He isn't a good game coach. He also had problems maintaining a consistent level of competition. This was due to his inconsistent recruiting and taking too many chances on players he thought he could develop. thebigweave, OliviaPope40, Home Jersey and 5 others 7 1 Quote

Indiana was exciting to watch from a pace and speed standpoint when he was the coach. They played so quick and he really was with the times as far as shooting the 3 pt. Quote

They at one time from my short memory were averaging like 18 turnovers a game lol. cthomas and thebigweave 2 Quote

His offenses could put points up if they were allowed to get out an run. Muck it up and force them into the half court? It could get ugly. cthomas 1 Quote

He couldn't capitalize on his really good teams with Zeller and Yogi. I thought Crean was a good guy and had some ability to coach offense, but everything else was a mess. I didn't like how it ended but couldn't see a way forward for Coach Crean. Quote
