I don’t care if Villanova is overrated. This is still a very impressive performance by Michigan

Impressive game by Michigan, but Nova is a fringe top-25 team, nowhere near the 8th best in the country.

Still, being up by 30 on the road against a top 25 team is pretty impressive.

The NCAA has denied Marcus Carr a waiver to play at Minnesota this season, per a source. Carr transferred out of Pittsburgh during the offseason. Averaged 10 PPG last year.

I think this is more about how bad Nova is vs how good Michigan is. Not to take anything away from UM but wow Nova is awful.

I could see Michigan being a top 10/15 team all season if thy continue with their defense. They have an experienced backcourt and that frosh has some crafty moves going to the rim.

They had a preseason trip so they have played more games together which has to be of a benefit.

 

Granted, they weren’t outstanding in those games so this is still a surprise. The bigger surprise may be how poorly Villanova is playing.

This summer I wanted Garland first, then Akinjo, and was happy with Phinisee although I liked the other 2 better. As the HS progressed my optimism for RP went up.

All 3 guys are studs. I’m not sure RP is better than the other 2, but he his legitimately a heck of a freshman guard. I really like him, and love the fact we are likely to get 4 years of RP.

I went to several 247 team sites and a lot were talking him up. Recruiting is hard and for us fans that don’t have a chance to evaluate them all year like coaches do. We have to rely on others and stats unless you have personally see these recruits play. All of those pgs u mentioned will have terrible nights moving forward and look nothing like a stud pg. last year I watched Waters look like an all-American and then the next game was like 2-15 with 5 points and they got crushed. Archie wanted Rob and he got him and it looks like good news for all Hoosier fans.
