Tony Carr from Penn State is going pro and hiring an agent. If he had come back, I actually think Penn State would have contended for the conference next year. Now they lose their star PG and have no bench. Probably missing the tournament next season as well, although Stevens and Watkins will be two of the better players in the conference.

Penn St. will take a little hit next year...

Ummm...a major, major hit.

Both of their starting guards (Carr and Garner) are gone; those two averaged about 86% of the guard minutes per game and about 71% of the team's made three point shots. Their recruiting class has no top 150 players.

We lost our starting guards and should be better!

I agree. They were looking like a top team in the B1G. Maryland and IU could be the wild card in the B1G next year.

Does anybody on here think Haas will get drafted?? I think if Haarms entered the draft he would get selected before the big doofus. Haarms has a lot more potential.

Haarms would be selected before Haas. Although a knock on Haarms is his age. I wouldn't be surprised to see Haarms get some time in the NBA depending on his development.

Haas won’t get drafted but I see him on summer roster and having a chance.

I continually see him as better than my fellow BTB family. That size was very hard to account for in college and would still be hard to account for in the NBA. He’s huge. And hits Free throws. It’ll be a big loss for Purdue. Now only if C.Edwards bolted too.

Lol, no Haas won't, Guy is a plodder who can't rebound. NBA bigs are bigger, stronger, more athletic, and have a skill set outside of being big. I guess maybe he could make it in the G league

Stronger-some, more athletic and skilled-almost all, but Bigger- very few

Sorry my phrasing sucked. He'll be playing against guys that are bigger than what he played against in college. Plodders don't exist in the NBA anymore.

In college he could overpower other bigs while not being taken advantage of with pace. In the NBA the pace will be too much for him.

Haarms has to get get better skills and something resembling a jumper. He's pretty athletic for his size. He might not make it but that's the type of 5 that's in the league now.

I find it hard to believe that Haarms will be at PeeYew four years.
He’s already in his twenties and 7’3” with quick bounce is a unique talent set.
