Saw something that Ewing said fans (and Poll Voters) care more about wins than Strength of Schedule.... Seems out of tune to me, I don't think he makes it long in this career path!

Yeah, I wish Georgetown had gone in a different direction this time around.  They are a proud program, but a bit antiquated in what they're doing.  I saw Ewing at the EYBL event in Westfield, he had himself tucked waaaaay back in a corner, sitting with what looked to be an assistant.  They weren't talking or engaged in anything.  He wasn't in a spot to be watching games, or certainly to be making contacts.  It would be easy to interpret his demeanor as haughty, like he was still more concerned with being the famous former Knick than a coach trying to field a good team for Georgetown.

Contrast that with Izzo, who was there with Dane mixing it up and smiling and being seen.  Or Shaka Smart, sitting right under the basket (looking like way more like Tupac than you would think possible), also not interacting, but laser-focused on the recruit that was playing.  Or Archie and Sean, who seemed to know everybody, were cutting up, and acting like they owned the place (Archie's real demeanor is very different than the stoic middle-ager you see in media). 

Anyway, to be honest I still hate anyone that wore a Knicks uniform 15 years ago, so maybe I'm just biased.

Izzo was too busy putting down bags of popcorn to be talking to anyone when I was there. I bet he put down 3 bags in a span of 2 games. My favorite was Bill Self, he showed up like he owned the place. While every other coach wore a shirt with their team logo on it Self shows up for Garlands game in sweats and a tee shirt without a Kansas logo and lounges down with his arms folded. Looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there that day. Altman was nice enough to sit and chat about basketball in between games after I introduced myself. At the time they were still recruiting Tucker(he wasn't playing in the event, he was a graduated senior) so I wished him well in the Tucker recruitment and gave him my thoughts. For any hoops fan I recommend going to one of these events at least once. Everyone in the gym is a hoops junkie (just some make millions and others are postal workers lol)

1. If D. Garland picks us...... Can Phinesee redshirt?

The reason i'm asking this is we have only 1 open scholarship left and after looking at the rosters of Duke, Vanderbilt, UK and looking at who they have committed and already playing..... We look like the best option of Garland's top 5. And I have a strange feeling that Romeo is gonna pick us too.

Anyone able to answer this?

A couple days ago Chris007 weighed in on this, maybe you saw it.  There's a chance we'll lose a recruit (he even had a specific one in mind, but didn't feel comfortable sharing) before LOIs are even signed.  

 

I'm still wrapping my head around this recruiting bonanza, but I think we may be selling Phenisi (I'm trying to think of a spelling variation I haven't seen yet) short.  The last top 100 PG we had was Yogi, and he was a legit star. The next guy doesn't have to be Yogi to be a baller for us.  Before that was probably Jordy?  Nope, looked it up, he was 137.  Phennisee is a talent, and could be a guy we really come to rely on.  I know that Garland is better, but I think we have a really good player here.

 

All I'm saying, Fyneesi likely doesn't see himself as RS material.

I'm not sure I've seen Phinisee misspelled so many times in one post, well done.

With Hulls, there was one service that had him as a 4* in the top 50 or 60 range but can't remember which one.

Be honest with Phinisee. He's got to know that it is a coach's job to put the best team on the floor. If he can't accept that, then bye-bye!
