I am bullish on Calhoun. Very high level coach, obviously anything can happen but looks like a home run hire for the Bearcats.

Only issue is his age.  He's a couple years old than McDermott who is retiring.

Why didn't the Chair of their BOT blow up the deal?  Doesn't he know that's his job?

The 1 thing I’m sure he is right about is that they definitely want a commitment from their guy before they pull the trigger. If they want to keep a kid like Mingo they better be able to just point at the next guy. 

Well, Jeff, Hubert wants to continue as head coach, which indicates he actually did want this job.  That... and he took the job.

The Hubert Davis situation really mirrors the Woodson situation in about every possible way.  Except he’s had a bit more success.

I so hope they keep him around for another season and he does just good enough to not get fired again. Either that or they take so long making up their minds that it really hurts them as far as hiring and putting together a team for next season. Basically, I'm hoping they pull an IU.

The media leak or the announcement that they were discussing his job for next season can only be him leaving or an extension. I don't see an extension coming.  Their delaying the inevitable isn't the best thing for them.

Alford's Nevada team plays Auburn at 9pm EST Wednesday...at Auburn in the NIT.

They play 3/25/26 at 9pm not tonight....sorry!
