Under most normal circumstances think it would be pretty normal/expected to give a nod to your former school in response to that question. Seems to me Kelvin knows deep down he handled things poorly here and just never did/doesn't want to acknowledge it. Who cares, it's all so long ago. Lot of respect for him as a coach.

Hate that guy so, so much.

No, he has legit animosity for Indiana administration for how they handled things. Could have backed him but did the opposite. His recollection of events doesn’t mesh with the spin and narrative on BTBanners. I honestly don’t blame either side fully. Indiana could have gone about things differently.

That era was just such a frustrating and embarrassing time in our history. We played politics with Davis and then virtue-signaled like no other to wash our hands of Sampson. I think that time period was when a lot of people stopped taking Indiana basketball seriously.

Endless bad decisions by an administration that wanted to play politics. Haven’t recovered since.

$181 get-in price for LOS on Elite 8 Sunday before UK tips off. Eyes on those prices once they and Purdue get beat tonight.

If that happens, Kelvin may be calling you to get @sses in the seats.

I think rising coaches are always looking to climb the ladder.  I would guess he will be looking to move up here soon

He’s probably the presumptive next guy at Mich St, wouldn’t you think? And he’s so young and Izzo’s gotta be 70 or pushing it. Maybe he hangs in the A10 for another year or 2 and then heads for East Lansing. Regardless, his next job’s gonna be a really good one.

Zeigler might be my favorite non IU player to watch play in a very long time.  I could probably make an argument he is my favorite college basketball player to watch including IU players the last 4 years.   What a treat to watch him play

The value of having the single toughest, most competitive kid on the floor all the time always gets underestimated and Ziegler is that guy. He wins them games on shear will.

Oklahoma City Thunder scout Corey Evans has been hired to be Cincinnati’s general manager, sources tell @On3sports. Evans joined OKC in 2020 after being a recruiting analyst at Rivals. He’s one of the most respected and well-connected individuals in the space.

Pete Thamel -

His role will cover high school, international and transfer portal scouting and recruiting. He’ll also work with coach Wes Miller on NIL, roster construction and roster retention. Prior to OKC, he spent four years at Rivals as a national recruiting analyst.

What a great gig. Where was that career path 40 years ago?
